Your right it doesn't but I was quite concerned today by Bissouma(and I'm a fan of him)

I agree Skipp isn't a the required level but when he's putting in a better shift than our starting players a week before season starts.

Same with Werner people calling him out. When Son and Johnson were a lot worse.

Need to step up our game or it's gonna be a dreadful start to the season

I personally thought Bentancur when he came on give us some sort of control in midfield and Skipp while he might lack technical ability he put himself about

We saw this a lot last season, where the starting midfield duo(whoever is starting) are way of it and need replacing at half time. Happens a bit to often for my liking. Something Ange needs to sort out

yea bentancur i thought was class today. yea skipp puts himself about but hes physically deficient at that level and just not good enough as a footballer. but yea hell always get stuck in, just feel your watching someone seriously struggle to barely compete.

yea it does seem to be the case with the midfield that he gets the balance wrong from the start. was a pattern we saw a lot last year. bit worrying really.

I still think there is something with Bissouma and Bentancur to being our best duo just unfortunate it hasn't really worked out yet.

I like Sarr...excellent athlete and has some neat footwork, but still has a lot to learn in my opinion.

yea i know what you mean. they both have the ability and in spells look very, very good. they have serious competition now. berg and gray have looked very good in this pre season, both on the ball and off it. they have shown even tho they are 18 they dont get bullied by men at all.

the new kids are more natural footballers too i think.

That's a good point. Rarely do returning players do well coping with the spotlight and boos and abuse , especially a player that is severely lacking confidence, which was made worse by getting dumped out of the England squad.

I tend to agree on the whole, but something about Madders in particular makes me think he could turn it on and have a cracker (I know there is nothing to suggest he will given his form since coming back from injury). He just has the “shit stirrer” in him that might really get him up and about for this.

I do actually agree with this , Maddison might be one of the few exceptions.

Exactly how I see it, friendly or not. I loved seeing us back at the stadium and the youngsters etc, but I remain unconvinced that Ange has what it takes to win the PL. Great guy and I'm enjoying it more than Conte ball but it's still a frustrating watch. Seeing Gnabry floating around free as a bird without a defender on him was ridiculous.

I feel the same, ange is a likeable chappy but, the naive, reckless tactical set up is a real concern.
I think he is convinced that, he can replicate what he has done in other leagues previously.
I don't think he will or can in the premier league, the openess of the team was, an issue last year and, has still not been addressed during pre season.
Ange come on mate, your team cannot defend and is an accident waiting to happen every game.

he didn't do anything about it last season when he had time between games, we won't have time between games this season, for me going to be another wasted season
