I don’t suppose that you’re old enough to remember Rising Damp with Rigsby kicking his cat Vienna after another failed attempt with Miss Jones!

Yes I remember , that was a funny show and how he reminds me of Unai Emery

Well, that was utter shit. We are a mess. Honestly nobody could have watched that and thought otherwise. Fans in the stadium have had enough of this fraud. Well, the 40% of the stadium that are fans and not tourists.

There’s one point in sacking Ange and putting in caretaker imho - the search for a replacement starts in earnest sooner rather than later.

It took 76 days to hire Nuno after sacking Jose and 72 days to hire Ange after Conte.

Not great if Ange is sacked after the last game on 25 May and it takes 2 and a half months to hire a replacement like it did with Nuno and Ange … as preseason training starts at the beginning of July (or is it late June I forget) …

Plus if/when we’re knocked out of Europa, I don’t see the point in keeping Ange (unless by some miracle Ange adjust his tactics and we start looking amazing) - it’ll be time to move on …

I'm not sure you processed anything I'd been saying.

- I didn't say don't sack Ange.
- I was simply pointing out that there's being no point contracting someone from outside to manage the last 2 months of a dead season... Nor is there a remit from which to attract anyone for that period.

....A preliminary search for a replacement can still take place with Mason in place. Hell; it can take place with Ange here now.... If you believe the media we've already had conversations at numerous points since January anyway.

Come on FFS.

We were at home to Bournemouth. You think that's an acceptable point??

Really?? Against fucking Bournemouth??

Give your head a wobble pal. 👍🏻
But.....they are a well drilled outfit, have recruited very well, and are managed by someone that it seems the majority of Spurs fans would like to replace Ange.
So not quite the easy prospect you're suggesting.
Bodes well if we can prise Iraola away...

Bournemouth have moved on through smart management & great recruiting to become a top half team with great potential. They are alongside Brighton, a model for other clubs to follow. Perennial top six clubs like Spurs & Man U have been coasting while the little guys had a plan.
It's not a matter of stealing Iraola from them because as we saw when Brighton got raped & pillaged by Chelsea, they have an actual plan in place.
Until real change happens, a point at home to Bournemouth is a very acceptable point.
Bournemouth ≠ Brighton

Maybe you're right and they are more than just a very well managed squad right now. But it's more likely that Iraola is the biggest ingredient to their current success. They scored 37, conceded 71, and avoided relegation by 5 points the season before he arrived.

Brighton have continually been progressing and growing under 3 successive managers. They've earned praise for that.

But would he want to work for levy ?
He's going to have a few offers I think....

Fair enuf - misunderstood ur point - Agree no point hiring someone from the outside.

With Ange still in place I think a preliminary search is a lot more likely to be half hearted - so Mason sooner rather than later is my vote
