Match Tottenham vs Forest Monday 21 April 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Do we though? The league and euro games are night and day at the moment. There wikl be half a dozen changes anyway. League games will probably be used to get players into form and to give the kids some game time. Doesn’t mean they aren’t expected to be competitive.

You can't keep losing and expect to turn it on for EL matches, you need to gain momentum and confidence from somewhere.

Also the concept of rolling over purposely just for the sake of a rival club not to qualify for the CL is bogus, wanting to lose to determine another clubs fortunes is purely a loser mentality. We still should be aiming to finish as high as we can because it translates to PL merit points aka money.

Yeah that last part was facetious. I wasn’t a fan of trying to lose to City so Arsanal didn’t win the league either.

hard to tell if the players are going their own way.... or ANge finally ditching Ange-Ball
I just can’t see a scenario where he would have ditched his philosophy completely like that. Far too stubborn a man.

Whilst I don’t think the players have lost respect for him on a personal level, certainly subconsciously anyway they’ve lost faith in how he wants them to play.

It was pure will power and fight that got us over the line against Frankfurt, not a tactical masterclass.

We played the same way against Brentford and Liverpool in the cup, he can set the team up differently when he needs results if he wants to, he just doesn't do it enough.

They should be desperate for all 3 points in this. Could leave themselves open for us to score on the fast counter.
Remember the year when Leicester were top 4 all season and then went on a poor end of season run to end up blowing it and finishing 5th?

On that run they had to come to an out of sorts spurs , where we just picked them off on the counter and walloped them 3 nil

Could be a similar story tonight maybe ?

2 nil to Forest

This will be entertaining end of season nothing to play for spirited match, high scoring hard to call , expect odd number of goals probably 7 or 9.

I expect a disjointed second string today, with Gray, Danso, Davies, Spence, Bissouma, Sarr, Kulusevski, Richarlison all getting minutes.

I'm not too sure a 1st or so called second string team has made too much difference this season.

It would however be quite a shocking indictment on Postecoglou and the players if it is a powder puff display. Would really say quite a lot in my opinion.

Many fans expected us to lose last Thursday, reflected in the somewhat sombre pre-match mood. Today, on a Bank Holiday, with a semi-final to come and strong chance of getting to a final, the fans will be chipper.

Keep that height would be ny battling cry.
