Ex-Spurs Player Troy Parrott

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Was surprised at the people saying he should be given another contract on the back of a good spell at Excelsior. I don't suppose you English boys watch a lot of the Republic of Ireland games but I do and he's never shown himself to be good enough for Tottenham.

I also don't believe the club should have any association with someone that is frequently pictured with some of the worst criminals in Ireland.

He hasn’t murdered anyone though has he?

Who gives a fuck about any of that guilt by association shit. If he’d fallen in with them
then it’s different but he didn’t, they are family friends.

Being mates with people who you know murder people isn’t good. You continue to baffle me.

Most normal people would disassociate themselves from people they know kill other people/sell drugs/ruin lives. Not doing so and remaining part of that world (even if not actively) is a shit choice.

Doesn’t seem to bother Newcastle supporters. Not exactly mates but ?

From what I can tell they aren't his mates, they are people he's known all his life. They will be at birthdays, christenings, and funerals whether he likes it or not. Until you have lived that situation don't get on the high horse and act like you would know how to handle it.

Why do the social credit score people always think life is so simple and right and wrong is only the way they see it...

It's actually not a simply passive act. It's people like Troy that allow criminals the 'normalcy' we all need to function. It's one of the threads the writers explore brilliantly in The Sopranos. There's no 'Oh he's just a mate' with killers. You are legitimising them. I too like talking football with Rich...but I agree with the poster that questioned his compass
