Yeah excuse me, I’ll bow to the guru in football knowledge, Mr. Dudu.
I wasn’t even comparing these two specific gamesIf you think the both NC games were the same then; you genuinely don't have a fucking clue.
I prefer to look at performances in a linear way, that was the point of the discussion anyway, not comparing two fucking games that happened months apart and have different circumstances about them.So you prefer to not compare like for like and instead just foster narrative-convenient conclusions instead?

They haven’t? So we played good football consistently, for 90 mins, for more than a couple of games, against sides that were better than 15th place?Ummmmmmm no they haven't....... And you haven't cared to quantity your claim.
Simple fact is; this season we have pressed more, won back more ball
It seems the system relies on two players being fit (solanke and VdV). Then the team essentially score a hatful before half time while on top, that way when they pump a couple of balls through and they score we should have enough. Here’s the problem. I agree that we’ve looked a lot better than we did in the spring last year. That Wolves home game in February was basically replayed 10 times the rest of the year… uninspired shite, caught on the break, good night. There is progress especially if Solanke can come back firing.
However. We really needed results from these first 3 matches. Why?
We have EL football coming and it’s going to hit our squad like a train.
We rely on pressing and intensity and sprints back for defensive recovery. What happens when we play Thursday and then Sunday? Ange has no experience in Europe yet. It’s a big variable that no one can have an answer to yet, not until we see it. We have threadbare defensive depth and Richy is already hurt meaning our forward line ain’t all that either. Yes, the performances are indicative of something better, but the performances will decline during the EL group stage. And knowing that, I’d much rather be on 9 than 4 points.

You’re going to show me some stats saying how we’re best team at x shit, aren’t you? Oh dear.
Richy is finished ffsAs long as Solanke and Richy stay healthy, we'll finish top 3.
Agree with you and the daft concentration lapses have all been from the same player. It absolutely sucks to have dropped 5 points and may bite us in the ass. And we have some really tough games after the break.
But…
I think the team is close to breaking out.
Our play has actually been quite good overall imo. Yes, need to convert chances. But we are getting in great positions consistently. No longer are we passing it along the perimeter ad nauseum. We do need our wingers and strikers to get in position for the crosses. And the 3 goals we’ve conceded were daft concentration lapses. But our set pieces - on both ends - look much improved.
So despite the frustration of dropping points we shouldn’t have, I am excited about where the performances can go.
Yeah cause you offered so much…
Same shit - againGood to see some optimism.
Im still doubtful. We all hate Conte, he was erratic and disrepecting and it could be a tough watch. I think arguments can be made that he wasnt backed enough, which doesnt seem to be the case with Ange. Also on points per average Ange is struggling against Conte and Mourinho… Its never going to be perfect but imo we are not that powerhorse many believe us to be.
The current squad can be a great watch if everything clicks, sure. But one small slip and shit goes down. This teams reacts hysterically bad to conceding and it aready lead to a few embarassing defeats. When those floodgates open - they stay open, until the final whistle.
Lets hope Angeball is better once Solanke is in full flow. Im just not that confident
