Management Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't know why some are spinning this as a negative. If the Lewis's had no interest in changing things, why would we be doing such a thorough audit, and then subsequently changing the entire leadership team, if it was business as usual?

Ask yourself why they would bother? The club was making money hand over fist, they could have just kept Levy on board if they were happy. SO the reason they changed was because they wanted more success ON the pitch, not OFF it.

And if it was purely because the Lewis Family wanted Levy gone, they could have just replaced him with a lackey and replaced the board and not make a song and dance about it.

I understand why people are cynical or sceptical. But we need to give the new executive team time to see if this is actually going to be any different.

On the basis of the January window so far, I do think we are seeing signs of a different approach. Selling Johnson when we did, as Vinai says, selling players at the right time, is something we never would have done under Levy. If we did sell it would have been the end of January. Not the first week of January. But under Levy the likelihood is we wouldn't have sold Johnson at all.

Same with Gallagher. When did we ever do deals like that 2nd week of January.

So we need to give them until the end of the summer window to really judge. They haven't had enough time so far.

What I found interesting, there wasn't many words for Frank in Vinai's message. No words of support, or confidence, or anything like that. Just a clear indication that the team has fallen well short of expectations. SO I think Frank will be gone by the summer if things don't improve big time.

Been said a million times before - words mean squat, we need action.
Apart from the crap football, my main concern is that we are so fractured as a Club, the chasm between supporters and players/management has never been so great.
Why are we employing executives from a club that is under investigation for 115 charges and a CEO that came from our rivals (who look like they are going to win everything in sight!) ?
Prices should be fairer for everyone, ie lower them across the board.
Yesterday, I attended an OSC social and quiz in the East Stand, with Paul Coyte and Michael Dawson hosting. I sat with three women and we were all of the same mind in that we felt the disconnection like never before. It is very evident that the Club are aware of it, as both Coytie and Daws referred to it. Their loyalty cannot be questioned, they're as much supporters as we are, and they urged us to keep up the support in these trying times. It was quite interesting to see the affection when talking about old players, which was not evident when any current players' names came up. These sort of events help but they're only available to a small number of people, and no access to the current squad. Most of us would just like an autograph or photo.

I wondered about the lack of mention of Frank, too. But if Venkatesham had just come out and said the board stands behind the manager it wouldn't have made things any easier for Frank. That would of been the lead in coverage of the statement and nobody would of taken in anything else that was said. Instead of calming things it would have ignited another round of debate. I do think the statement was a good move, but a better one would have been for Venkatesham to stand up before the press and answer questions.

Shameless Cunt...

January is difficult
Not immune to Financial Fair Play
Need to sell players
Can't waste opportunity to change all the executives

Just excuses

Fuck off you Gooner cunt.
While I get the frustration about being a Spurs fan at the moment, you and all the other simps in here would be furious as well if management would have stayed silent. There's no winning with you.

As a communications professional myself, I have to acknowledge this as great PR work. Now, of course, the words have to be followed up with actions. Let's see how the rest of the season plays out.

LeParisien LeParisien

Acknowledge that mistakes have been made for a start.

Be honest and say hiring Frank was an error, if not directly, then say the playing style of the teams should live up to the club motto. This would directly challenge Frank, and
lets him know that he must fix up or he’s out at the end of the season.

Haha be real they're not gonna say that

Fuck me people on here just moan about anything. Seems they expect someone to be able to turn what is a very shit team, into prem winners in the space of a transfer window.

To me, that statement shows commitment to improving the squad, so I'm not sure how so many can be angry about that. Sure, if in a years time we see they haven't followed through then fair enough, but for now, no idea what more you can ask.

we are also in a position where it's probably very hard to attract elite, game changing players. Who in their right mind would come to a team not in the CL next season, playing awful football when there are now dozens of well run clubs out there who can and likely will outbid us wage wise.

There is definitely a element of impatience within the fandom (especially online). And on a level I get it because it is at the end of the day the same ownership just with a new head honcho. But at the same time it is reasonable to give him at least a year or so to show that he can change things.

Spurs seem to behind the times in a lot of ways at the backroom level because everything ran through Levy. That's going to take time to assemble.

All correct except the asset value. Take the Dallas Cowboys. Haven't been to a Supetbowl in 30 years but by far the wealthiest sports franchise on the planet. They are living proof that success on the field has no correlation to value off it. This lot are shameless cunts. End of
I see less revenue driven activities since St. Daniel left, but you're probably right. Hate it here.

We've heard all of this before. I'll judge their ambitions when they do something ambitious. But sticking with this absolute fraud for the sake of it, screams utter incompetence.

Sorry, but copy pasting some recycled shite from the last 20 years, in a match day program isn't exactly what we want.
Fucking awful PR.

Him and Lange will relegate us because they don’t want to own a bad call. Left it way to long. We just have to scrape enough points to survive now.

I just can't imagine Vinai facing up to Frank and telling him he's sacked right in front of his face, he seems too nice and probably thinks Frank deserves to stay because he's a nice person.

In other news, after another week of inflicting violence, pain and suffering on his own people, Ayatollah Khamenei has written to Iranian citizens to express his recognition of a need to rebuild the connection between the regime and the Iranian people…

“We know there is distance between the Regime and our people, and we are committed to rebuilding that connection.

We want Iran to be a country that feels open, welcoming and connected to the communities it represents.

Iran cannot exist without you, our people. We are built on the loyalty, passion, and commitment of those who follow us, and we do not underestimate what being an Iranian means.

Your dedication matters deeply. Thank you for your ongoing support. We are determined to deliver a future for Iran that reflects it.”
