Yesterday, I smashed myself in the bollocks with a cricket bat.
As I lay on the floor of my garage coughing and spitting, something shifted in my brain.

I was not prepared.
I realised that we need to spend more time watching for the swinging bats in our world, and less simply waiting to react to them.
