Management Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Text from an article in today's Telegraph below, appears to back up the images in the box yesterday, neither VV or JL are going anywhere...

Tottenham will resist calls for changes to their leadership team this summer despite supporters calling for a “reckoning”.

Vinai Venkatesham, the chief executive, and Johan Lange, the sporting director, were both appointed to their roles last year and are both targets for fan anger because of the disastrous way Spurs’ season unfolded.

However, Tottenham, who narrowly avoided relegation on the final day, have already backed the leadership team responsible for appointing Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor.

Right go and if not at least fire Lange please.

Lange (saying it quietly, dont want pelters) actually has some skill/ability

Vinai appears to have none

Lange can spot a player, particularly young talent, so under a proper DoF could have some utility

Vinais prime ability seems to just be being "an exec".

The problem with cunts like that is shit never sticks.

So my bet is, the fall out should be they both go - the preferred compromise is Vinai goes - the reality will be Vinai will shaft Lange and we end up with the worst actual result

Vinai should be sacked but I don't think he will.

I strongly suspect Lange will be quietly put out to pasture at some point in the summer, though.

Basically this

Surely its just a matter of time now? Day 77 of calling him a cunt in this thread until he is sacked! Cunt!!
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.

In reality, his departure IS just a matter of time. It might be day 78, day 178 or day 378 - all of which are certain times.

For your sanity, I hope it is day 78 but I think you are going to have a long summer my friend... a looooonnnnngggg summer!!!

Lange is more to blame IMO.

VInai has expressed very poor judgement but Lange is meant to be the guy advising him on football matters and he's made a pig's ear of 2/3 managerial appointments and done a horrible job of building a balanced squad

Lange should be sacked 10x for the complacent handling of the Jan window alone.

With a competent DoF advising him, Vinai will basically just be a bland exec we never even think about.

I responded to a THST survey last night that asked what changes the Club should make going forward.....the first thing I mentioned was to get rid of Flange and this Gooner cunt. :langetroll: :vinai:

At the end of the survey it asks for permission to pass on your comments to the Club? Fack me,I resisted the urge to tell them they had my permission to throw the feckin lot of them in the stocks outside the stadium so we can all turn up and throw rotten fruit at the cunts.

Lange is the classic situation of being promoted (pushed?) beyond his ability.

He is not a dof, never will be, should never be in the position of having to manage a window.

The reason he was was because the managed to get Paratici to leg it just before Jan.

Lange as a scout/analyst/talent spotter = can do a decent job

Lange as anything else = fuck no!

Had Vinai and co not made such a clusterfuck of running the club Lange would have been no where near that responsibility (hence the joint role with Paratici, we all know he was Fabios bitch)

This is Vinai (/Lewis') mess. But shit rolls downhill, not up, so I know who I expect to be standing at the end of it

Prediction is - we bring in this Dortmund guy as DoF and he brings in some faces and theres a changing of the guard

Which I dont mind, Im not real advocate for Lange (this is all framed in an either/or between he and Vinai). And if, ultimately, we have a decent football operator* and Vinai FURTHER from the football side of things, thatll be a win.

*Im not sure he is, dont know enough about him, but the general concensus isnt great that I can tell. Much depends on how it works. If he is buying players for RDZ to work with - probably not good. If he is getting deals done having agreed targets with RDZ - probably fine...

That's fair. I suppose Vinai/Levy or whoever signed off the Paratici/Lange shared DoF nonsense is massively to blame for the entire mess (probably Vinai).

Reading between the lines seems like Lange and Vinai were in Frank's corner and when Paratici realised he wasn't actually in control he fucked off sharpish.

Lange should never have been left as the sole DoF in the first place.

Sounds like it, doesnt it?

I think (famous last words) Vinai will be burned from this. I also think he'll be hanging on by his finger nails. The fact the Lewis' saw fit to step in and take over his responsibilities (allegedly) can only be a terrible thing from Vinais pov.

He will be DESPERATE to get as far away from the football as possible, so will get in a dof and hand over the keys.

The only real catch with that, for me, is how that dof operates.

If he is basically RDZs dogsbody, thatll be fine.

If he tries to exert control over RDZ, that wont...

THIS is how a serious club acts after a disastrous season. And this is only after missing out on Europe…

HOW have we let standards slip so low that there is absolutely no accountability for our worst season in modern memory that saw us within an inch of being relegated….

Can you imagine ANY a top club not making any changes at the top of club after the season we have just had? Lange and VV should not have been given another MINUTE at the club after the final whistle on Sunday.

It’s fucking embarrassing and an absolute shambles of the highest order.

No, that's not how a serious club acts. it's an extreme reaction and embarrassing to the Marinakis levels.
They finished 8th last season.

The fact that Lange and Venkatesham are inept is a different story, but finishing 5th, a season after finishing 8th, is not a propotionate reaction for AC Milan. It smacks of a lack of patience or backing at a board level.

If they'd finished 15th or something I'd understand it.

5th and 8th is failure for Milan. That for them is unacceptable.

We’ve finished 17th twice and show no sign of changing any of the jokers in charge who are responsible for this.

I think that’s the wider point he’s alluding to.

Missing the point.

Are you telling me that if Woolwich, City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, or even I would say any other PL club had the season we had that heads wouldn’t role?
