So let me get this straight. You start off by digging him out for not scoring against top teams, then dig him out for his play against low block teams right?

So if he isn't scoring against top teams (after just the one full season with us don't forget), then who were we playing when he got all his goals and assists last season? 16 wasn't it?

Tell me, what winger, left or right, contributed more than him over the season, other than Olise?

its either that or they think spurs are the same sort of level as palace and seriously limited players like johnson will suffice.

watching a game and looking for things like decision making, weight of pass, and just football elegance is lost on them. a lot of people on this forum wanted adama traore......

What I’m saying is that to close the gap to the top we need to better against those teams. Therefore we need better players. This one season and his young BS is warying thin. There is always some excuse. Let’s see how he does this season in the big games. Tbh, like I have said he does offer something when the game is spread out. However is he a player who can pull one out from the bag when game is tight. Can he get the ball on the edge of the box and ping it into corner. Look mahrez for city as an example. Isn’t that what we need?

He's like a ghost though, he's either haunting the opposition and frightening them, or he disappears completely and does nothing.
I could live with it if it was 50:50, but it isn't, it's more like 5:95.
For the 95 we're down to ten men.

Well in fairness he is the only player in the world who doesnt score or assist as much against the bigger teams isnt he 🙄

And yet you'd be incredibly hard pressed to find a wing forward that joined a PL club around that price in recent seasons that had higher G+A/90 in their first season.

So if you expect more, you'd be wrong for doing so.

Still offering my 10X £10 charity bets that Johnson will be top 10 in the league in G+A this season. Lots of people type shite about him, yet no one has put their money where their keyboard is.
