Match We can be heroes part two Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester united UEFA Cup final. Bilbao 21st May

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah I grew up in Bangor a bit down the road, studied “across the water” but live in Belfast now - it is a nice city now, good place to live and visit, thankfully a lot of the dark times of the past left behind.

Blanchflower Stadium is just down the road from me, it’s home to a second tier league club here but is also NI’s youth international stadium, loads of youth cup finals are played there, and with the pitches being 3G loads of teams train there too. Definitely keeps “Blanchflower” as a household name for footballing kids across the city!

I remember it was discussed as a potential site to be redeveloped as a new NI national stadium a while ago, but I think shelved because of the cost.

I thought as soon as I saw the front of the bus what a classy touch that was to replicate the 1961 Floral tribute!

I reckon it has all the hallmarks of someone within the club KNOWING THEIR HISTORY, and finally doing summit about it!

...and that's not necessarily an anti-Levy slur, 'cos in 1991 it was "Joe BLOGGS" all over the bus, and that was an awful PR disaster!

This year just REEKED of CLASS!!

Ha, I remember that.

The club have said there was 225,000 people at the parade. I am blown away by it all; the passion, the authenticity and the class. Compare it to all the terrible plastic Citeh parades...even Woolwich...and of course Chelsea are a nothing club with a small group of far right as the hardcore.

There is no doubt we have the potential to be fucking massive, we just need someone in charge of the club with that same ambition.

You could say the same about Villa probably. Most people don’t know the difference between rich and big. While they overlap they ain’t the same.

I always think of it like this. If you had a 100k or 150k stadium and tickets where normal price could you fill it. I would say Liverpool, United, Woolwich and us could. That is what big is.

Did anyone note what the match worn shirts in the auction sold for in the end? I noticed when Sonny’s was up to 10k.

The final win is making me consider a long weekend in Bilbao on the summer.

Edit - couldn’t find it at first, got the link now though and Sons shirt current bid is £15,031!

Liverpool & Palace both had theirs today........

Wondering why we didn't do the same and a bit peeved we didn't.
Honestly, I think the euphoria of Wednesday simply carried on into Friday and on into the weekend..... It was like a 3 day party!
Plus, after the result yesterday, trudging back out for a parade today wouldn't have felt as spontaneous (even though it must've been meticulously planned!)

I loved the fact it was Friday... and we had the weather! It was raining a bit today in London wasn't it??

I'm guessing you didn't get to go BECAUSE it was Friday, rather than a Bank holiday Monday?

...and, joking aside, with what happened the Liverpool parade today, it would've been totally overshadowed.
