How do these statements from the Trust get decided?
Is it literally just one person on the board who thought they had to do it? Was there a vote somewhere?
This could have and should have just been a typical ignorable forum post somewhere on COYS.
 
Sterling job THST, first the sausage rolls, now clamping down on the most disgusting chants ever made at a football match. I look forward to their next project, maybe they could tackle the huge problem of ..... (leave it to you guys to insert a suitable remark, too early in the morning for me to come up with something!)

For me the main focus on the trust should be pressure on ticketing allocations and kick off times:

No Saturday 3pm home game yet this decade!

Late changes for kick off times (eg. West Ham). Numerous TV announcements with weird dependencies, often completely out of our clubs control.

Ever increasing corporate % in away allocations.

The closed shop away allocations and routine ticketing point scheme abuse.

Probably a few others I can't think of right now!

We've consistently ignored calls to stop singing the Y-word chants, what makes the "supporters trust" think they have enough power or influence to stop fans singing the most mildly offence songs towards Liverpool fans. Laughable really

I know two people with genuine mental health issues, one who turns into a total nervous, crying wreck if he is forced to step outside his front door.

Genuine cases, not suffering mental health issues because they didn't see their mates for a couple of days or spent way too much and can't pay it back.

But it#s the perfect excuse. Can't be seen, can't be challenged and certainly, can't be proven.
 
It’s not going to work anyway. Social media works because it unites a mob to attack an individual, problem is in this case it’s fighting a mob called fans not a single person and the level of offence is frankly pathetic. It will just get sung more now.
 
In 10 years time you won’t even be able to cheer for one team, as that will clearly be a display of very conscious bias, including geographical discrimination. Each match will be preceded by a compulsory 20 minute video on inclusion, followed by the teams shaking hands as a sign of apologising for many forms of prejudice and privilege. Meanwhile, China, Saudis, Russia will be taking over the world giving just about as many fucks as they do today.
