Match West Bromwich Albion v Tottenham Hotspur

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That should also be the last time Sissoko starts in the league in quite a while. We have better players than him and he offered NOTHING today at all.
Sissoko needs space to run into imo, if that space isn't available because the opposition parks the bus, then he offers very little indeed. Maybe he should play in central midfield against these types of teams, instead of further forward, gives him a bit more space to work with.

Not sure what more we could have done in this one. They set up to nullify us but we still got through in the 1st half a few times and were only stopped by great goalkeeping (and a little poor finishing from alli in his 1v1)
Any of those chances go in and the game is entirely different I reckon.

You just know the tactic for them was always going to be keep it to 0-0 until 80 mins and then start slinging in crosses. even the goal was a bit lucky after hugo made an outstanding save and it bounced right into Chadli's path.

I was impressed by our reaction and I think they will get heart from that. Being unbeaten still is great and we have some games coming up now against teams who will actually try to attack us. Just pray those injuries get sorted quickly.

Don't you come on here and talk sense.. You know this is not the place for that.

But they also had 2 other good chances to score which we got lucky on.
Also, I thought we lacked ideas & desire in the 2nd half. & still think poch needs to come up with a plan b.

I'd give us a 9 out of 10 in the first half & a 7 in the 2nd half.

I feel poch will feel we could have done a lot more in the 2nd half, even if many on here disagree.

I see your 100 and raise you a thousand.

th
I see your 1000, and throw 10000(?) at you!

If a team sets up to frustrate and defend all game like WBA did today (at home as well... pathetic cunts) then you have to be extremely clinical or lucky to get the win - assuming they don't make any mistakes which they did not.

Unfortunately we were not lucky in front of goal and they were. Play that same game 10 times over and we would win 9 of them as the game would have been killed off in the first half. Foster MoM says it all.

At least I can sleep now knowing they didnt grab all three points the fucking mugs.
if the only way you can beat WBA is through sheer luck or by being extremely clinical then they would be a lot higher up the table. Your logic doesn't really add up at all.
Unless the teams they play get very lucky which would mean WBA are a very unlucky team. Or most of the other teams are really clinical & good at finishing which means we have to aim to be as clinical as all of these many teams.

Right after Lamela went out and Son came in, we conceded a goal. What did he do actually rather than meaninglessly running around with the ball?
Yeah cos Son scored an own goal there... or Lamela would have jumped over Llois and headed the ball of the goal line and made a massive counter attack that would have resulted in dire scoring from half way with a bicycle kick.

I get it but they were better than us in the second half so we must have a been very good first half.

PS. i didn't watch the first half.

We shoulda be 4-0 up in the 1st half... the 1-1 2nd half would've been rendered irrelevant!

We were so much better... we had so much more possession, and passes... yet we're the same as them 'cos the result said 1-1.
There you go. We're as good as West Brom, and they are as good as us.
GO FUCKING FIGURE!

Chadli really does want to hang his head in shame...
JJ's BBC Interview with Poch this week told us that he wanted/asked Chadli to stay... yet Chadli wanted to try his luck elsewhere... please tell me in what alternate Universe the 'football philosophy' that Tony 'Death-to-Football' Pulis has, is more enticing that Poch's project...? Pulis doesn't even know how to spell project, let alone have one!

Still... Chadli scored another goal for a club for whom their fans must be contemplating suicide now, as a preferable alternative to watching that turgid, rancid shit every week...

But, as I said before, if we can't beat that rancid, turgid shit... then we're only as good as it!
