Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was under the impression the Lewis kids were meant to be properly emotionally invested into Spurs but whenever the camera focussed in on them they looked positively bored.
If a billionaire sports team owner acts like your average fan for everything that happens in a game I assume that there's something wrong tbh.

For example, Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

Sullivan did promise them their move to the London stadium would be out of this world 🌎 tbf.
On a different planet seems fair
I get all that but until the people running VAR get better at it, and there's been no indication of this in 5 full years now, then VAR as a whole is just a waste of time, it's a net negative.

Just bin it.
He said something like the club was in a mess when ENIC took over
and the other Jamie ( yes Sky has 2 idiots) called a Burnley player Braindead today. Shy are bloody well, running football. Having players or managers speaking to them at half time when they should be spending the break discussing the game is ridiculous.
Why the fuck was his misses wearing a fur coat in September?
She’s naked underneath. Gives him a flash at half time as there’s not much else to see from his team.

Tel is not devoid of talent. You couldn't be further from the truth. He has the right attitude, but his confidence has been dented.
The step up to PL is difficult, but he has had even Johnson start LW in front of him, then Savinho links too. He moved to get playing time and so far it has not worked out.
Let's not forget Bergvall was shakey at the beginning. Tel is perhaps a bit in front of where Bergvall was before coming here, but players all acclimate at different rates. Bergvall benefited by being thrown in at the deep end, but he did have midfielders and defense all around him. Tel is a bit lonely on the wing or up top so it's harder to make the impact Bergvall did. Bergvall saw more ball, made more mistakes but has learned quicker as he saw more ball and had more minutes.
Tel I have faith he will come good, he is tough, but needs a bit more time to make his mark.
Yeah maybe he'll have one good game this season, and I'm sure you'll all make into some huge win.

He's been nothing short of Diabolical. There's absolutely nothing to his game that you can point out and say he's good at. He's so astoundingly average to bad, at everything, it's laughable.

I'd take Raziak over him. He's stone useless and will not be a top level footballer. He's had more than enough chances now and him getting minutes is detrimental to the team because he's a ghost.

All of you that say he's great, etc. can I have some that hopiod you're all smoking because he's absolutely shocking.

Of you're trying to compare him to Bergvall, also a stupid point. Bergvall even on his first game, he passed class. Sure, made silly mistakes, but the way he carried the ball, you knew straight away there was a special talent there. Gray has shown that he can be, he needs more work to do, might not make it, but of water he will. I'm dead certain that Tel will not be because there isn't one part of his game that stands out.

All of you that defend him, just because he plays he, doesn't mean he's good. He's so, so bad. I have two eyes. Watched every minute of him here and it's so, so bad.

Don't think anyone is saying he has been great.

However people like you saying he's devoid of any talent are just well OTT. His performances and goals for France U-21 say otherwise.
There is much context at Tottenham as to why he has not settled in yet. Don't forget the garbage we played last season in the league.
He has not had as much regular playtime like Gray and Bergvall. He has been racially abused. He came to get more playing time, but is struggling. Then Savinho links, Johnson as LW and being left out of the CL squad.
The guy has had a hammering. I don't think he has been amazing but he does have something in my opinion, and it will take Frank to bring it out of him and nurture it. Once his confidence is right I think I he will impact PL games.

You also ignored the point of my 'comparision' to Bergvall. Tel is on the wing or up top... He ain't seeing the same amount of ball as a midfielder such as Bergvall. Therefore it can be harder to make the same impact. So if he is having a poor game he can't keep getting on the ball like a midfielder such as Bergvall can, and kind of play his way out of having a stinker. By his position he isn't involved much so when he gets it he is always expected to do something brilliant, so the pressure builds up when he has a poor touch. Midfielders can play through this by keep getting on the ball, this is something Bergvall has done often.

I wasn't comparing the 2 players as such, more their roles.

Anyway no need for further discussion, we are miles apart so let's agree to disagree.

The club has spent £40m on him. He's too 20 most expensive signings ever. He's diabolical.

All those excuses. But still don't say what he's supposed to be good at. And u21 level, Jesus wept. Most u21 players don't go on to be good)great players, sorry to disappoint you. And there's been nothing good here.

OTT I'm not being. Gray and Odobert.not sore about. But I can see things they do that makes me think there's a good player there somewhere. Tel, nothing. He's hilariously bad. Was watching the game with non-spurs supporting mates, they'd not really seen him and didn't understand why I was pissed he was starting. They got it by the end of the game. They couldn't believe how bad he was. Take your rose tinted goggles off. He's absolutely terrible. Even if there was one good quality the had, that's still not enough he has none.

It's just funny that you guys bend over backwards to defend to defend people, just because they're at the club. Think for yourself and objectively. I will be delighted of he proves me wrong, but I don't see any universe that's the case. He won't be here in a couple of years and will be back in France at one of the pretender clubs, on loan because we can't sell him. He's the worst Spurs player I've seen in many, many years, and that's quite the achievement.

And the reason he hasn't made an impact, is because he's not a good football player, that's all. He has feck all ability.

Okay mate, it's clear you hate him and think he is shit. Do we need another 100 posts about it?

I'll judge him more fairly this season under a more tactically astute manager, renowned for improving players, and Tel getting gametime in hopefully a more settled team, that's not in relegation form in the PL.

Bit like your posting ability then.

Bore off

Interesting that we spent a combined £80m on Gray and Tel and the former did not make the bench on Saturday and the latter is omitted from the CL squad. We probably could have got Savinho if we’d gone to £70m+. If we do go back for Savinho in January (as many fans hope / expect), what would that mean for Tel? Hard to see how he can realise his undoubted potential if he does not play regularly, and in a position that suits his talent (i.e. not as a lone striker competing with 2 CBs for long balls).

Anyone with eyes can see VDV was himself pushed and wrestled. Even arch Gooner Alan Smith on Sky Comms couldn't see why it was disallowed.

Its as clear an example of "clear and obvious" error you'll see. If VAR is now being told to just side with refs calls then just abolish it. It's pointless.

VAR has been all over the place from day one, I genuinely can't see how it's improved the game or what it contributes.

That’s the basic issue with VAR even if it gets the call right it’s really random in how it intervenes, I know it’s not but almost looks corrupt. It’s like VaR is asleep one moment then wakes up the next.

I’d rather they concentrate on better offside automation and if VaR does stay have it like an NFL thing where each manager gets 1-2 calls per game so it’s on the manager when they think a mistake has happened and if so the VaR isn’t there to back the ref but make the right call.
