Exactly where we have been apart from the last two seasons. In the end getting trophies on the board is what it's all about. Yes id give up every cup we are in for the league title but it doesn't quite work like that. A decent enough line up tbh so we can say it was all reserve players.

Bollox. Where we have got to now as a club has taken years and years. It's a cumulative thing. It's not based purely on our last result. Tonight doesn't fucking undo our performance in Madrid, or last Sunday. Its a knock of confidence for sure and yeah the media might run with "old spursy back again" but honestly who gives a fuck about them desperately trying to sell papers / get clicks in a dying and over bloated industry.

City lose games, Chelsea lose games, Utd lose games. Barcelona lose games. When we do it its "Lol typical spurs" and its probably not helped by the fact that it's a lot of our own supporters who perpetrate that belief.

Bill, I get your point as it's quite well structured. Would I liked to have won it, absolutely. Will I lose sleep going out? Absolutely not.

Have we had a fully fit XI this season let alone against Real Madrid, Liverpool and West Ham? No.

Have we got results in the two most important games whilst resting key players. Yes.
 
Saying a trophy is a trophy is bullshit. It's about kudos. There's very little kudos in pulling a fat bird in a nightclub. It's just a notch on the bed post, and that's all the Carabao Cup is, a notch on the bed post that egoists like Mourinho and Pep want to add to their tallies. Poch only wants stunners with big firm tits.
 
We underestimated how much a win against us means to them, that’s all. They had a fucking players meeting beforehand and noble saying to the press about playing for the shirt. It’s annoying but it’s not the end of the world

Spot on.

Easiest trophy to win in terms of games played.

We had a more than good enough team but the mentality showed up again.

It is no coincidence that my favourite snooker player was Jimmy White because he also knew how to take defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Another barren season ahead for us is my belief but my main point is losing tonight sends no good message at all.
