Wouldn't have a problem with Hooper as 3rd striker or even with Ade staying given he's likely to perform better next year plus we wouldn't get any money for him after this season.

However, an upgrade on Defoe in terms of type of striker would likely be the difference between success or failure. This is probably the last season we could get reasonable money for him.

I think Ade could be the key, if he could only play every week like he played against Chelsea. Same with Defoe, his form is mercurial, when he's good, he's brilliant, but then he will have a dry spell, usually at the most crucial time. If Bale can keep up his scoring rate like last season - and we can keep hold of him - then another first class striker won't be as crucial, and we may be able to let one of the younger boys try and break through (surely the Academy will turn up a little gem sooner or later).
