We are a decorated club with a proud history of winning trophies. I don’t think you can give any Spurs fan stick for being pissed over winning 1 league cup in over 20 years. Our trophy haul for a club of our size is pathetic. Even Wigan are more successful than us trophy wise of recent, it’s ridiculous

Good post. Comparing us to the likes of Stevenage borough & oldham is very odd & negative. At worst, we are in the top 10% of teams.
& as you say, we certainly don't charge ticket prices like the alleged club people play us down to be. We are better than 1 league cup every 20 years.

Ok, I at least get where you're coming from, but those players were not the best players in those teams, or at least weren't head and shoulders above the rest. Kane has it on him week in week out to lift us and he does win us tonnes of points on his own.
If the other players could lift themselves to anywhere Kane's level he wouldn't have to bridge the gap between us and the really top teams all the time and he'd probably have the opportunity to be more focused on playing the goal scorer part of the team instead of defender + creater + goalscorer, which seems to be expected of him every single time now or he's considered to have done badly.
That's my take, I know it's not always the best we've fluffed it against but I think you are judging him harshly, he is absolutely immense and we've been spoilt by it imho.

Yeah its like the final versus city. If we barely get any of the ball, kane gets zero service & we play very defensive. Its a bit unfair to say kane didn't step up in the big moments or games. If he fluffs good chances in finals then fair enough.
But I do get what they are getting at.
There's players who seem to be consistent but quiet in big games. Lukaku gets 20 a season but sort of goes missing in big games for example.
Or players who are fairly inconsistent but seem to step up for the big games & big moments. Drogba seemed to raise his game in the big matches for example.
This. In recent seasons we have finished above all the clubs who have won the league in the premier league era and yet have 1 league cup. So bollocks to the 99% bullshit. All clubs aspire to greater things

Nagelsmann for me. Approach him now. Clear out all the shite which is a lot but let him slow build an actual team. If we lose Harry so be it use the money to build.
Time for a complete rebuild.
