Should change the title of this thread to "players we could and should have kept". We haven't really had someone come back to haunt us in the ENIC era though. Previously most people would have said Gylfi but of course non footballing reasons have changed that.
 
I always felt like we should of tried to find a position and give a fair chance to Tarrabt. From the moment he first came on as a sub it was clear he was very talented. I wonder if he'd stayed with us and produced what would of been for him.
 
Not a flop, but we should have built around attack around Kanoute rather than Defoe and Keane. He was a hugely underrated player and better than those two
