As I've already said on the other thread, Mourinho really isn't somebody I want, but at least he is a proven winner and will probably sort the team out. I really will be very disappointed if we end up with Howe though and I would prefer Jose over him.
Looking on the quick unofficial poll that BBC sport did I've decided for my own sanity that it must have been hijacked by Woolwich bellends because if Howe is the level our fans genuinely want we're buggered.

If only Liverpool had poached Poch, and we had got Klopp...

(leave me with my delusions, just a minute or two)

Klopp’s finished after Fenway only spent £1.87 million on Sepp van den Ber in the summer window and didn’t spend anything in the window before that. You can’t go into a new season with the same group of players and expect to challenge for the league.

In order of who I’d want most.

Rogers
Mourinho
ten Haag
Allegri
Ancelotti

I least want Howe. He’s massively overrated.

Only ones who might entertain us are Mourinho and Ancelotti (I'd want the latter).

Rodgers would never come to us. He's got a brilliant young side that will be challenging for honours over the next two to three years. Absolutely zero reason for him to jump ship.

Who do we think will be, or do we think should be?

If Nagelsmann is off the table, as he's only just taken on the new project at RBL, then I'd like to see us go after Ten Hag.

And I'd fucking love us to go after Rangnick as Sporting Director. In fact I'd make this the priority.

But I think we should proactively, urgently get after both Ten Hag and Rangnick because Bayern are apparently interested in both, but Rangnick has reportedly said he'd only consider a job in England.

As the question is who will be the next manager, part of me thinks we will get a surprise and Mourinho will walkthrough the door.

Yes that fits

His wife loves London

He’s also got a point to prove in that he’s not past it

and we might fucking win something!!

If he did come though Levy would have to dramatically up his game. There can be no fucking around not hitting targets, failing to sell because you don’t get the price you want.

Otherwise Mourinho will quickly turn on the club and we all know how that ends. At that point it would also be clear that Levy is not the man to take us any further and should leave. It’s risky for Levy, in that Levy would also need to prove himself if he gets in Mourinho and if he comes up short it would tear his reputation apart.

There is risk for both Levy and Mourinho but the upside is if it works a man who can take the club the the final last level.

Mourinho’s name is getting mentioned more and more the bookies are very seldom wrong! If it came down to it and we lose Pochettino which I hope we don’t but it doesn’t look promising! But if a straight choice Rodgers or Mourinho then reluctantly Rodgers! Based purely on the football his teams play is attacking free flowing then him the eye bleeding stuff Mourinho don’t think I could handle that for long even if it brought success.
Rodgers won't leave Leicester for us. At least not mid season.
