our players have no intensity either, they are drained out. mentally and physically they have been destroyed, thats what you get when you put some scruff in charge for two years. morale is on the floor.

He's rationalising excuses in his own head for the losses. Players are injured/we only lose by one goal/there is a mole sabotaging us/the gods are against us etc etc.
