Lloris
Alderweireld - Sanchez - Vertonghen
Sissoko - Eriksen - Winks - Dele - Rose
Son - Kane

That sounds surprisingly good. Only replace Rose with Davies, as Rose has been horseshit in both ends throughout the 270 minutes of this season.

But that is some mighty injury list for such a early stage of the season. And what a depth in midfield - Ndombele (injured), Dier (injured), Wanyama (to be sold soon), Sissoko (has to cover for fullback). So only midfielder on the bench will be Skipp. Thats rough. But hoping for the best ofc.

Lo Celso will be on the bench too. Who is capable of playing in a midfield 3. That formation on paper also allows us to potentially change shape at certain stages of the game with Toby moving over to right back, Sissoko covering inside a bit and pushing Dele and Eriksen forward.

Would require everyone to be in sync though - and based on Newcastle it doesn't look like they are.

With Ndombele missing, Dier likely out and Aurier probably not picked, this now has to be the line-up for me.

Gazzaniga, Davies, Tanganga, Skipp, LoCelso or Alli, Lamela, Moura.

Ah yea, forgot Lo Celso.
Well, hopefully he gets up to speed asap...could use his input at some point in the game most likely.

I am hoping these injury updates are a smokescreen but if true:

Lloris
Toby Sanchez Verts Rose
Sissoko Eriksen Winks
Son Lucas
Kane
Subs: Gazza, Davies, Tanganga, Skipp, Dele, Lamela, Lo Celso

Poch loves a random selection for these games (like Foyth starting last season).

Wouldn’t mind betting he goes something like this:

Lloris
Toby Sanchez Davies
Sissoko Eriksen Skipp Winks Rose
Son Kane
