Just looked Wanyama, Jansen, Nkuko and Pau Lopez on loan only main transfers for 1st team
Might have signed players but I do remember us still being short going forward and that being the panic button signing cause he was regarded as a winger at the time for the toon and France

And being a bit picky there mate big Vic was the only first team signing there so really Sissoko made 2 cause Loqez was a backup GK that hardly played. Jansen was simply cover and terrible and Nkudu was a cheap punt who also never played.
Bar big Vic was another shocking window and Sissoko was the desperate over priced icing on the cake

Like I said all but one where non factors in the side so other then Vic we did sign no one off any note so you can surely see how when going back 6 years in memory that window and who we signed was hardly burning bright in my memory.
We signed 2 players who never played for us bar a handful of cameos where they where poor.

Sissoko who was bought as a panic forward line signing as ended up playing in midfield and being terrible for the most part
And big Vic
Hardly a fantastic window that is worth raving about only 2 first team signings and the one we are talking about was gash and lingered around the club for far to long
So I think the statement we signed no one despite being factually incorrect technically is hardly a false claim cause it's another wasted window that we signed no one of note except Wanyama who would play well for the Club.
It's like saying the Jan window we signed Saha and Nelson was a success because we needed a striker and a CB, despite them both not being what we needed
