I'd take winning the EL and having to keep Ange for 10 years and wind up in League 2.

Yes, it's a false dilemma for the most part.
In principle I agree with the idea that Ange an insurmountable obstacle for the club to win the league, and as such we can't move ahead until he's gone, trophy or no trophy, Levy or no Levy.
But even if Ange were retained, he's completely out of his depth and would be one of the first managers sacked in the fall.
That's if he even wants to return. He looks and acts like a prisoner, like he'd welcome the sack at this point.
It's not an either/or scenario.
Chances are today's his last full day in charge, but even if it isn't, there's not a ghost of a chance he's here at Christmas.
The main frustration for me would be losing the summer and winter transfer windows just spinning our wheels but we may have done that in any event.
