We really need to stop this crying. Especially considering we got away with a goal from Solanke which should definitely have been disallowed for a foul.

We get treated no differently to any other club, we get some calls and we don’t get others. The victim mentality is ridiculous.

I agree we get treated no differently to any other club but every club has a victim mentality.

Also - if Solanke's goal wasn't given it would have been a penalty. Guehi makes first contact on Solanke not the ball.

He looks like he’s baulked up a bit to me which has made him harder to knock off the ball.

He certainly seemed up to a scrap with Rodri which is no mean feat.
He's certainly a lot stronger than when he started.. at first he didn't have the strength
This slowed down angle of the outside of the boot pass is delicious.

He's got magic in his boots for sure. We need to build a team around this guy.

Certainly got ' the rub of the green' ATM. Let's hope 'it' lasts

Ange was a complete wanker for his "we'll just cop it" line week after week. He eventually dropped it and moaned about officials at Forest a fair bit. Hated that. Don't kick up a fuss and you get bottypumped. No prizes for being nice in that game.
He was oddly naive. This thing with refs is dumb, winners use every edge they can find, that and the Spurs fans want to win, whilst handing the league to Arse-nal. He didn't understand English football at all, that and the Sarr ear cup. Totally dumb.

Some excerpts that caught my mind:

What Simons has done is turn the focus inwards. He has leaned into his support team, which is extensive. He has a personal trainer, a performance trainer (with whom he analyses video footage), a nutritionist, a chef. He even has a mindset coach, who has been especially useful.

Simons is heavily into meditation and visualisation work. He reads a lot, with philosophy a favourite area. He often uploads motivational slogans to his Instagram account. He fell back on all of this. Meanwhile, his personal situation has become more settled.

In January, Simons dropped in on an Alzheimer’s Society singing session at Southgate Methodist church and what struck the organisers and care workers was how much he wanted to be there. His grandmother Rinia lives with the disease. And on Tuesday, he warmed a few more hearts when he posted a screenshot of a Google search: who are Chas & Dave? Simons’ Spurs journey is up and running.

Top man

Character gives me Son vibes. Just a good human off the pitch and a smiling assassin on it.

Where is this stamp on Solanke’s ankle? It doesn’t matter if Solanke doesn’t see him. Mate,I’m delighted it was allowed but I see a foul there and as I said before I’d be wanting a penalty if Guehihad kicked through Solanke.
There is nothing wrong with you seeing it as a foul many others would agree with you many would not.

I was at the game so didn't get into the controversy about until the next day. Looking at it from the stands VAR only checked on whether there was a possible offside no mention of a foul.

FWIW I looked at playback numerous times and can't see what all the fuss is about....the ref saw it and didn't blow for a foul and I'm fine with it. It's one of those where if it goes for you you're happy if it doesn't you cry foul.

Dom was in possession of the ball moving around a defender and pulling his leg back to take a shot when Guehi came from behind and planted his leg between player and ball to prevent him from shooting. If Guehi had been able to touch the ball before Dom I might be more sympathetic to the foul claims but since he didn't my unprofessional view is one of obstruction by the defender rather than a foul by Dom.

And tbh, even if you set that aside, as I think a pen would've been pretty damn harsh, I think the City fans complaining have gone overboard.

When you slow it right down, on close inspection it looks like Solanke makes contact with the ball at pretty much the exact same moment he was alleged to have 'fouled' Guehi - and if he touches the ball first it's certainly not a foul. It's a matter of miliseconds and I don't think VAR should be ruling out goals on that basis. It was far from 'clear and obvious' imo and VAR got it right for once.

I think it was a foul but I’m not complaining. Solanke kicked the back of Guehi’s leg and that’s a foul all day. If Guehi had kicked Solanke that way we’d be screaming for a penalty and rightly so.
I was surprised they gave the goal as it’s us and they like to fuck us over however not in a million years is that a foul , and if it was you just have defenders throwing themselves in front of the oppo players hoping they get kicked ….

If that was a foul then Guehi's stamp on Solanke's ankle was a foul as well in the same incident, either they both are fouls or they aren't...so play on as far as I'm concerned.

This is why subjectivity will always play it's part in these types of decisions. The ref does it in the heat of the moment in normal time whilst VAR has the luxury of replay and frame by frame review.

Onfield decision was goal VAR review was for an offside check...unlike others I don’t hold with the importance of Dom touching the ball a split second before contact because he was in possession and had stopped to strike the ball....Guehi came in from behind to prevent it so needed to make contact with the ball first to legitimise his tackle.....imo.

What a fantastic fella.

Improving all the time on pitch too.

Fingers crossed he'll be one something special for us.

Great attitude too... Turned up for Frank when others were being wankers, and not providing help for him too.
