Player Xavi Simons

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

*This what Xavi does here means: "Stop. Wait for me and for my cue. Observe me and adjust yourself to me. This makes no sense."

A player like Xavi has a phenomenal sense for timing in football. He may not be able to put it in words. But he has it within himself. When things don't make sense to him, in terms of when the balls should be passed, when runs should be made etc., then those things most likely don't make sense. Some additions to his ways can, of course, be made. He can be led onto some sort of new patterns/systems of play. But basic and most fundamental things should still make sense to him within those patterns/systems of play. Football is football in all systems.

Something was not quite making sense. Including to Xavi. Overall, it was a strange session including for Thomas Frank. That guy says "timing is everything" but his timing doesn't and didn't work. Yet, he's running the session like a fascist lol. And he constantly yells and screams as players play, touch balls, make passes, etcetera. That is generally a terrible sign. Most terrible. Notice how he mostly doesn't yell anything meaningful in terms of directions that have meaning and content in terms of meaning. Instead, he just YELLS and produces SOUNDS as players touch balls. Like he is trying to control when players should touch balls, make passes with his YELLS and the SOUNDS he produces. That is generally A TERRIBLE sign. Most primitive. Generally, players should NEVER be subjected to that treatment. Players and people and children in any and all walks of life. NEVER. That sort of stuff is what actually works to kill skill and spontaneity and freedom in people, football players, and all others. It works to kill spontaneity, freedom, individuality and develop problems in individuals. It brings football players down to a lower plane of behaviour and existence. So they know how to pass or shoot only upon an external direction. Again, the very, very most terrible sign to see THIS during Tottenham Hotspur training session and the very first session involving Xavi Simons.

I think that is some sort of a bad coach which has learned/memorized some sort of a pattern of play and is now trying to ingrain and inculcate it into the players. That is a common way in which all bad and terrible students/coaches/people act in nearly all walks of life. They lack knowledge, expertise, experience so they memorize something extremely diligently and then seek to stringently replicate it. Absent following such a diligently memorized stringent pattern they are lost. So that they use great force to instill, ingrain and inculcate that pattern into others. That is, also, how fascists act (lol) and how fascism works. Fascism may sound like a strong word but a fascist would run a football team/training session by holding a whistle and then producing a sound when players need to pass and shoot. That would result in an absence of freedom. And it would be a terrible sort of football. That is how animals are occasionally trained. Again, most terrible.

And you do have many football clubs with such coaches. You come to a football club and see and realize that the way football is played is extremely stringent. You must do this and that with some sort of an exact and weird and unnatural precision. Or you must follow exactly what the coach wants exactly how he wants it and when he wants it. And then you spend a couple of years at such a club and your career gets lost. That happens to many players in all sorts of places and in all sorts of sports.

Great, experienced coaches are different. They know FUNDAMENTAL things. And then they express such sort of directions. They have systems and patterns of play within which they KNOW that players must exhibit freedom. This here could be part of what is wrong with THFC. Stuff like this from within. And most strange to see Thomas Frank not in charge of the proceedings. Thomas Frank doesn't appear to exhibit any sort of a comfort with that coach. It doesn't look like to be some sort of a his coach that he has worked with prior and is used to working with. And that sort of stuff is very critical at any football club.

I like the effort, but it's a hard read.

Writing Tips:

  • You don't need to repeat yourself so often.
  • Rephrasing the same idea several times is putting unnecessary effort on your intended reader. Work on a clear and concise first draft for longer, first impressions count!
  • You don't need to uppercase things for emphasis so often. Let your language do the expression.
  • "Only the Sith deal in absolutes." - Consider alternate perspectives, why would he be doing this if it doesn't seem to be the right thing? Is it positive reinforcement? - The lack of consideration makes bodies of text like this seem tedious and one-dimensional.
  • Proof-read it before you post it. Sentences such as "Absent following such a diligently memorized stringent pattern they are lost" * are garbage and totally derail any point you're trying to make.
  • Try using an AI to tidy your writing. They are excellent at it.

* It should perhaps read: "Absently following such a diligently-memorized, stringent pattern means that they get lost". But even that is a confusing statement.

Is it possible that we saw a weird reincarnation of gibbsy?

It needs only some mentions of 'water carriers' and 'tiny dancers' to be totally on form

Even that last part is too much. Less is always more when you are trying to engage the reader. Just keep is short and sweet.

Be intriguing to see how quickly he can get used to the intensity. I think at his best he will be a proxy or even bit better version of Maddison

He’s the same profile of player as Wirtz, and we’ve seen him struggle so far. It takes truly gifted players with no physicality to succeed in the prem so let’s just wait and see how he handles it. It might take him a few months to really get going.

It was the first tentative feeling out of the Human Race by Skynet.

Banning him has just started the rise of the machines.

Anyone on here go by the name of John Connor?
Think its hillarous that TellMe is the first poster in forum history to be banned not for content but failing the voight kampff test.
