He definitely should play as a number 10. My question is then, who plays on the left side in the current squad? Don't think Odobert really took his chance today and his end product is questionable. Johnson has end product but absolutely nothing else. Tel? Nah. Can Muani play there? I really don't see a clear solution.
I thought Odobert was actually very good first half, and worked really well with Udogie. Certainly a lot better than Johnson or Tel have been. Muani can play on the left, but is another right footer who cuts inside on his stronger foot. With Udogie overlapping, that is not a massive problem. I think our strongest front 4 will end up being:
Solanke
Muani -- Simons -- Kudus
Muani -- Simons -- Kudus
For all players, we cannot expect them to play their best football on their very first appearance. They need a run of 3 or 4 games to find some form and consistency.
