Player Xavi Simons

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

His ball to vdv was poor, but both of those and Spence all had their parts in the goal. Spence trying fucking dragbacks 25 yards from goal, xavi with a piss weak ball to vdv and then vdv not just reading the danger and getting rid, losing the ball to whoever they had there. It was such a bad goal to concede on so many levels there's not one person it should be pinned on.

He was poor yesterday, and has been really since he's got here. But I don't think the goal was all his fault. I'm still of the opinion that he'll be fine with a bit of quality around him, but he's not the driving force in an attack. He's still 22, very lightweight and needs to bulk up a bit.

Poor "kid" .. a 22-year old "kid"

He is a kid, give him time, so what if we keep losing? give him time. he is a kid. I know 22 but still a kid. I know he makes in a week about the sum of what everybody on this board makes in a month, but still... A kid.

I know there are 22 year-olds with family and kids, but not like Xavi, he just moved to England, it is new surroundings. Give him time.

Next time, if he starts, cheer him up every time he touches the ball, if he doesn't start, all cheer "We want Xavi".

poor kid.

Keep losing?

We are currently 4th, well, was at the start of the day. Lost ony 4 in all comps, unbeaten in CL.

I just list as long as your arm. A squad full of mediocre...

But yeah, let's just shit on a 22 year old, that at a club that's in a mess.

First thing you need to be a successful high end footballer or indeed in any sport is balls, character and backbone. Precious few signs of those attributes so far.
The only thing I’ll say in his defence, is despite getting repeatedly knocked off the ball he seemed to get straight back up and have another go.

He’s come off second best in virtually every challenge, but hasn’t hidden like some others.

That VdV had more than enough time to launch it.

The two people I blame most for the goal is Djed and VdV, especially Djed just standing there like a spare prick at a wedding, just watching the attack, and not getting back.

But yeah, let's pin it on Xavi and a pass that could have easily been dealt with.
It was a ridiculous pass backwards with a player closing/pressuring so closely.
