Absolutely stank the place out yesterday. Truly awful performance. He even stood out as being abysmal in the river of shit we were subjected to by the entire team.

He hides most of the time. And whenever he does get the ball, he produces fuck all. Used to at least stay on his feet and put a few tackles in, but now he doesn't even go into 50-50 and spends the game eating grass.

Still early days, but looking like yet another expensive dud a la Ndombele. That's what happens when you sign your 6th or 7th option, when another 20-30 mil and a bit of urgency & decisiveness woulda got you a proper elite player.

But ENIC gotta ENIC.

He shouldn't be starting most games for us- better as an impact sub behind a senior player at this level, either at CAM, LW, or even CM. We switch to a 3-4-3 and he solves our LW depth problems nicely. Obviously it'd be great if we got a real LW, but in terms of reorganizing to fit better what we have, it makes a lot of sense.

Move him on asap for 15M whilst he still has some value…. The wages are Ndombele levels, £10m Pa. Just cut that short now and shift it to someone else

I obviously know nothing about football, as i didn’t think he was that bad. In fact I saw someone who probably is trying too hard to get the attack going and is struggling to make his mark in a poor team.
When he went to the sidelines after a bad tackle, the medics indicated that he should come off but he wasn't having it and insisted he stayed on.

He bottled numerous challenges and refused to sprint for passes numerous times, Mrs P.

Obviously from the stadium you are privy to more of his movement and off the ball activity that watching from the TV, but on the feed he mostly looked cowardly. Certainly in the first half.

So who did we try to sign first ?

Have a long , hard think about it before you answer, it's not a trick question.

Yeah but for most of the window he would've said no as he was holding out for Chelsea. The only way we signed him was cos Chelsea failed to sell Jackson so couldn't afford him and we snuck in late in the window.

Knowing Frank I'm sure he would've preferred MGW, but the truth is we'll never know how high Xavi was on the list cos signing him early in the window was never really an option.

He's been pretty shit but the 6th/7th choice thing is basically just something people have made up as another excuse to slag him and club off. He may well have been 2nd or 3rd on the list if we actually had a chance of getting him before the last week of the window.

Deuterz Deuterz remember when a certain someone on here said Xavi had GOAT potential?

Hint: same guy who said Tel & Odobert are the next Henry & Pires.

To be fair to Richy I do think this guy is actually a talent. Obviously not goat potential but that’s just Richy doing the hyperbole he’s loved for. If our players all fulfil the potential he thinks they have then within 5 years we’ll be prime Barcelona.

I’ll be honest I actively avoid watching us lately. I’d rather have a wank. But when I have, he’s looked an actual footballer in a really bad team. He’s clearly not a pick them up by the scruff level player but I think in a solid technical setup he could be good. Bit Wirtzy.

I think the guy will eventually end up being a good signing, just went as a team we somewhat get our shit together. Never like a Bale or Modric type but a solid cog.

Yeah I think pretty much the same.

Kid obviously has talent. You don't score & assist that many in Holland, Germany and for the Dutch NT if you're shite.

A proper COYS manager would really help.

I’m not going to judge him until Frank is gone.

This football isn’t for him and anyone with a brain should realise that.
Just the same what we said about this squad when Ange was manager. How many managers do we need to go through for players to suddenly become good?
I like Simons because he’s brave to get on the ball and takes so many hits. Yesterday though he pulled out of a tackle 20 yards up from the dugouts which surprised me because he does get stuck in. Players aren’t running through walls for Frank and it’s plain to see.

The one thing we can’t shy away from is we have so many players that just are t good enough to be a top end team.

You can count me out of that. Simons didn’t even play under Postecoglou so he’s not a factor.

Postecoglou deserved to lose his job, but we’ve gone to the other end of the extreme with Frank.

The answer to naive Communism (Ange) is not Fascism (Frank).

And I have to repeat for the millionth time, I’m not expecting anyone to take the current squad as it is and make them world beaters on day one. The question should be; do you believe in their ideas/vision to Galvanise the club and identify what areas we need to upgrade. Which players can be worked with? Who needs to be discarded?

Ange flew too close to the sun tactically (he left no margin for error and subsequently the bottom would fall out repeatedly).

Frank is trying to put the bar lower than hell for us.

Both are horrible approaches.

He's too Roy of the Rovers for me without having the quality to do so.

No sharp, nice quick passes into space, no dictating play, gets the ball and is extremely reactive with his decisions, no snappy football, very sluggish, not nimble, hes a million miles off. If he was a youth player we'd all be saying he isn't ready.

I'd rather see Williams-Barnett playing minutes for us.

Hard to judge him, and plenty of others, under this manager. One option is to deploy him on the left initially to help him adapt to the league. There’s precedent for that. Modric started out on the left before moving centrally, and it worked well.

Same- I also thought he wasn't that bad.
He was our only creative player. He tries things sometimes they come off and sometimes not
He is the only one capable of opening up the game.
One run in the 2nd looked like it opened up their defence - but unfortunately he was hacked down - and got a worrying injury.

He also makes space for himself to get a good shot in - he forced the keeper into a decent saves.

Will be interesting to see the stats- because I thought - Archie Gray who most thought played well - was pretty shit and did fuck-all.

There was 3 or 4 times yesterday when it was 0-0 we played through the lines to him and all he had to do was a simpleish through ball and he fucked it up.

Can blame Frank all we want for the limited amount of times we do it but fuck me he should be making those passes 99/100.

He's just looked so so poor in the PL the level jump up from Bundesliga has obviously been to much for him
