Caicedo is a really good player but he is more like Rice. Bissouma is far better on the ball than either of them.

FFS Conte HIMSELF admitted that Bissouma hadn't "understood his approach". Can you maybe take a fucking guess... if there are 2 people. 1 has message to another. Is that now a situation where both of them have to work hard so that info and understanding would get from first person to other?
Or can the first one be a bitching, sarcastic and distancing idiot, put hands into air and say "He does not get me. What can I do???". I mean... try a little fucking harder to make yourself understandable maybe? It is like... your main job basically.
And when we talk about Conte "system" and PEH - well, true. If it is absolutely needed that you shit your pants every time you receive a ball and opposition player is closer than 5 meters to you... well yea, than PEH is your man. But question is - should that ever be called "a system". And should anyone have a chance to "implement" this "system" for big money?
It is so extremely obvious that Bissouma has better ability in everything except for goalscoring. It is not matter of system if one player is superior in every aspect but one. Bissouma is stronger, faster, way better ball control, can dribble, can hold off opposition players, can actually turn with the ball (!!! yea, revalation for midfielder, right).
That is also a reason why he will be nailed on starter this year, while PEH will find a new club before the end of the window.
With all that I do not want to say like PEH would have been useless for us, no, he did OK job and his goal contributions helped struggling side. But that does not make his fundamental deficiencies go away magically.

Bissouma is very close to the best player we have on our books. If he has a big season Spurs will have a big season.

Nevertheless, Bissouma still wasn’t playing good last season, if he played like he played yesterday (so I heard), then he would’ve certainly paired Bentancur for most of the season.
The delusion on this forum is reaching a new record high. It’s fine to be excited about a player and so am I, I said I like Bissouma a lot and I thought he’d be a very good player for us, but the fact is he wasn’t good last season (when he wasn’t injured). If you wanna convince yourself, go and watch the games he started.
First time since Dembele have we had a player that has dominated a game like he did yesterday. His confidence is on another level from last season. His awareness is incredible.
