If you look at officiating decisions in other games, he's been very unlucky with the red card for the dive and averagely unlucky with the red for a late challenge (It was a red card though). Several of the yellow cards (i.e., the yellow for dissent) were also incredibly unlucky. If he'd been lucky we would be talking about the firm candidate for player of the season. The margins are very thin.
The luck is also noise. The signal to focus on is how well he has played and how well he suits this system.
So what are you insinuating with this comment? That we shouldn’t strengthen the squad in January to compensate for this major loss of squad depth then?

I’m insinuating that twitter fans are generally morons who have no idea we are about to lose son, Sarr and Bissouma. It will come as s huge surprise to them as they probably look at the L and R on their shoes to help them out every day and have no idea the afcon or Asian cup exists.

That we get our 3 players back start / mid feb doesn’t compute in the minds of the dangerously stupid.
Or that most deals are done in the last few days of the window due to the fact people don’t really want to sell their best players and definitely need to replace them so we are buying players for a couple of games.
I would guess a CB is our main requirement not a centre forward or DM but I’m not running our recruitment.

We all know the squad isn't as strong as it needs to be to deal with BAU - injuries, suspensions, and international absences. If we got one very good CB in Jan, I'd regard that as a decent window tbf. Two very good players is an excellent Jan window.

By now we must hold the record for number of RBs bought within the last 10 years. Need to keep that up.

Can't legislate for injuries, suspensions or International call ups, that has little to do with recruitment and everything to do with shit happens.

Are you seriously trying to compare Liverpools recruitment to ours?
They consistently refresh and replenish their squad with quality players which leads to them being consistently competitive.
Look at last Summer, they managed to completely overhaul their entire midfield in one window. They lose Henderson and Fabinho, bang they bring in MacCallister, Szoboslai, Endo and Gravenberch.
Pro active recruitment of quality players in a position of need that we could only dream of.
Same with up front, they didn’t even feel the loss of two of their top players Mane and Firmino because they had already replenished the squad with Diaz, Nunez and Gakpo.
Their recruitment model is one which a club of our size should be aspiring to emulate and if we did we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re currently in.
Outstanding player who seems beset with a 'Jonah' complex atm.......during pre season one of the few players who was not away on international duty and had an early opportunity to impress Ange after being identified as player to be relied upon only to turn up late for training the very next day.

They did miss out, yet they still got in top class players. Gravenberch is just as good as Caicedo, and whilst Endo may well be a stop gap he has proved to be a good one and they will in all likelihood still go out and get a top DM next summer. They overhauled their midfield last summer in a way that our ownership just never would in any area of the pitch.
Their fans have been vocal about their recruitment and it just goes to show the difference in standards deemed acceptable when you compare how good their recruitment has been and their success on the pitch in comparison to ours.
It's not just to let any promising academy player get playing time in the EPL just because they look promising at academy level. It's a huge gap between senior level footy and academy level.
If young player are played before they're ready it can ruin their confidence.
Gravenberch and Caicedo are totally different players, Caicedo was meant to replace Wijnaldum and Lavia was meant to be Fabinho, they've got in two players who not only weren't their first choices they are both completely different profiles to them, that's the kind of negligence of replacing Carrick with Zokora for example - why do you think they're not able to still control midfields? They are still after a 6.
Absolutely not. I just asked what their contingency for one single player that they are overly reliant on.
Salah assists or scores in about 95% of their games. They do not have an adequate plan for him not being there.
