Tomo Tomo What do you think about (baring in mind that we've not fully convinced with Johnson wide left) Bentancur Sarr Bissouma with Maddison in front three wide. With a licence to go central when he feels it?

Maddison did play as a false winger at Leicester in the Foden type role so it is doable. Assumably you need the other winger to stretch the play as a more traditional wide attacker so Johnson on the right rather than Kulusevski. I don’t see why you couldn’t play that way.

Can't legislate for injuries, suspensions or International call ups, that has little to do with recruitment and everything to do with shit happens.

Unless you think we should have loads of good players as backups sitting on the bench just in case stuff like this happens which isn't realistic by the way.
Yes you can, it's called having a squad with depth, something that we haven't had for years.

As levy loaded our squad up with dead wood players as he couldn't move them on as was asking to much, refused to budge.

We simply shouldn't have been in this state in the first place.

Still, we got a window coming up that much work needs to be done

Yeah cause that's totally realistic isn't it, load up the squad with 2/3 players per position for a just in case scenario, so basically you want us to accumulate players who never play and give them long term contracts in case of emergency, laughable.

Of course the irony is that you're mentioning deadwood but don't realise that players who don't play and sit on their contracts become exactly that - what happens when we want to move these players on but they're happy to sit on their contracts...?

BTW Does this extend to the likes of Utd, Brighton, Newcastle as well, should they have bought more players or is it just a Spurs/Levy thing? Even a team like Chelsea who have the biggest squad in the league have a load out and cannot cope.

Imo we should rotate Biss Bent and Sarr based on opponent to maximize output. You expect transition game? You put Sarr at 8 and there is no discussion. Then either Biss or Bent at 6. You expect playing against low block? Then i would put Sarr on bench, biss at 6 and Bent at 8 (or even Bent at 6 and GLC at 8). And so on. You can add one more player capable of playing at 8 and there is no problem even if you have to play twice a week as long as everyone is healthy.

He needs to wake-up or he will become a squad player.

I'm not interested in blindsighted support.

I think if all are fit he is curremtly fighting Sarr for a starting place.

Quality is encapsulated in consistency at a high level.

Fancy going into a season with only 2 CB's, and 2 mil speculative buy.

Resulting in us having to play our backup wing backs as Cab's.

Sorry but there are no excuses for this.

Abysmal management by the club and yeah no other club enters a season with one fucking CB like we did last year and two CB's this year... Praying to fuck we get no injuries or suspensions.

How many years have we known this AFCON was coming...

No excuses.

Everyone knows that we are short in the. CB dept and it's a collective failure that we are in this positions but you were initially saying that we should have a load of players on the books to cover for an unmitigated circumstance.

What does AFCON have to do with our CB situation, what are you actually talking about?

We have cover for our AFCON players but they are injured ffs lmao

Da fuck has AFCON got to do with any of this???

MF: Benta / PEH / Sarr / Skipp / Madz / GLC (and recently Kulu)
LW: Perisic / Solomon / Gil (and maybe BJ depending on how we line up)

That's our provision for no Biss / Sarr (& Sonny)..... How big do you expect this squad to be exactly?

Hope he does well at AFCON and comes back fit and in form.

He was an absolute unit at the start of the season, one of our better players before going off the boil a bit and then putting in a couple of stupid challenges.

When he's on it, he's an excellent player and very important to how we play.
