Doesn't sound like it from the post I replied to.... You made it sound like the proverbial 'last straw'.

Availabiity last season:

CL 6/8
EPL 25/38
FA 1/3
EFL 1/1

= 33/50

The poor fucker broke his ankle.... The rest is on Conte.

For the most part you're just breaking his balls over his 2 bans this season.

I said I was losing patience not the last straw 🤪.
Yeah I am pissed off mainly with the bans that were both the definition of stupidity and his general unavailability since he has joined us as I have said. As good as a player he is he needs to be on the pitch more for us than he has been for whatever reason

Didn’t know he had malaria tbh, read he had a sore thigh or something??

Both.

I think he played most of first game at AFCON with malaria which he had caught in the 2 weeks prior to tournament, then missed last group game as it was reported he had a sore thigh and last night came off bench in closing stages of the game, presumably not fit enough to start the game.

So this 'sore thigh' has been a problem for over a week, which suggests its more than a tweek. Just have to hope its not, for example, a hamstring (the loose description of 'a sore thigh' without saying whether its front or back or side of thigh means it could be many things, the worst probably being the hamstring)

Yeah its not been good for him missing 6 games through 2 red cards then going to AFCON so he's not been available for Spurs for almost half the games played this season so far.

Hopefully capable of playing the last almost 50% of the season (15 games left)

If he doesnt play in most of those then maybe we have a decision to make around his role in the squad and team. We cant have this for a third season in a row next year.

Agree, at the moment I think most people would list our top CM's going forward as Maddison, Bentanur, Bissouma and Sarr (4 of them), followed by Skipp, Hojbjerg and Lo Celso.

With the last 2 likely to be leaving in the summer and probably replaced by :
- 19 year old Bergvall,
- an experienced CM (so 7 CM's next season)
- and maybe Devine,

we would expect the cm3 to be mainly filled by the first 4 CM;s listed, all of whom being experienced players, rotating as necessary. If one of those 4 experienced players is going to be unavailable for almost half the games (2nd year in a row Bissouma has missed a lot of games) that means we are going to be quite reliant on some of the others in the list to be regularly playing ....... and that means if we have one or two injuries or red cards we can quickly find ourselves very thin on the ground.

If we play 60+ games next season because we are in europe (rather than 40 odd this season) having a player regularly unavailable is going to potentially really cost us.

I don't think Spurs really want to move on an experienced CM like Bissouma, as we need to upgrade other players, but there has to be discussions on the availability (or otherwise) of some players.

Was the malaria ever really confirmed but a decent source?

Mali's head coach Eric Chelle revealed this week: "You know Yves and Moussa [Diarra] were suffering from malaria,

In lots of media

It’s not just that Biss misses quite a few games each season, half the games he’s played this season he’s been very average. He had a great start to the season but has gone off the boil since probably, the Liverpool game.

His first ban looks like anything but stupid now when we see he’s going to be the ONLY FUCKING player this season given a second yellow for simulation.

Unlucky at best, sabotaged at worse. Fuck this league and it’s scriptwriting officials. Bent bastards.

Agreed. I’ve seen some even more blatant dives go completely unpunished - state of officiating in this league is mad.

Hard to have sympathy if you're diving on a yellow card tbh.

There are other players who have been booked for diving but the vast majority of players aren't daft enough to dive once they're booked which is why it's rare.

Just got to take this one on the chin

Loads of players have dived on a yellow.

Godfrey was even pretending to be injured, trying to get a red.

If other players were getting punished I’d have no sympathy but it looks like Yves was on the wrong side of the premier league script writers more than anything else

Godfrey is the only one that comes to mind

Can't think of anyone else, which is why I said it's a rare occurrence.

The simple fact is don't be daft enough to dive on a yellow card, that's how you stop these things from happening.
