Another very good performance. The tactics suited our midfielders better these last 2-3 games. Less uncoordinated high pressing, less FB's committing harry carry, more structure. Our forwards/creatives without Maddison are so fucking inept that playing the way we have the last couple of games has the upside of the forwards not seeing as much ball which means they are also not constantly pissing away possession when we have everyone bar the 6 and two CB's piled ahead of the ball

I have said this many times in this thread, and posted external analysis to back it up, but Angeball will expose any 6.

I'm convinced it's just because 90% of our players don't give a flying fuck. Win/lose/draw, they still get paid. We're 17th in the league, we can't get relegated. Fuck all to play for.

As you said, hopefully they can all switch on for the final.

But after that, I hope we get a competent manager in who guts the living shit out of this squad. Such a pathetic group of players, both with regards to mentality and ability, with a handful of exceptions.

Senses danger before it happens defensively with his positioning and therefore very rarely like Biss has to make a silly tackle.
Throw in can ping a ball too and you got complete midfielder.
I look at our midfield and its lazy or just bad coaching with not doing the hard yards to be available with head up and awareness of where the 2nd and third pass is going.
Bergvall with the right coaching could reach these levels and the shame is if Sarr had better coaching could have been up there too.

Isn't it strange that whenever this guy plays in a semi-stable set-up on the rare occasion/s fatman decides not to play shapeless, planless football, he does well.

And when fatman reverts to type and he's included, he disappoints.

It's a tough one!
