No.but dont just lump over the asking price. you decide what the player is worth and dont pay more than that. If that means losing out on a signing for the sake of 500K, so be it.

blindly lumping over the asking price leads to 35 million for andy carrol, 35 million for benteke or 50 million for a clearly well past it Torres.

and be honest john..you have fuck all idea of who decides a players value at spurs. you think you do, but then again you thought levy was bankrolling archway's appeals, and that there would be no stadium being built on the stadium shaped building site next to whl.

Probably doesn't remember the dark days of Irving Scholar. Football did not exist before 1993. No matter what ENIC does it'll never match Scholar almost destroying our great club. We were close to going out of business. So excuse me if I don't melt when we don't sign players for obscene amounts. I remember us scratching about to sign Gordon Durie.

The thrill of signing the worlds best players is no where near compensation for the pain of having to sell every one of your legends to keep afloat.

Or lets go back to the reign of Alan 'business' Sugar. He wouldn't piss and moan about signings and he couldn't get a managerial appointment right, even though he's this guru of big business. He's just a titled up version of porno Daves'.

Whilst he is an arsehole in my eyes (Sir Alan), he is an amazing businessman.

I mean, what the fuck did/does he ever sell? the em@iler? Sky boxes? Throughout life I have seen and owned a variety of shite that AMS sold. The fact that he still has a business to go to is justification of a knighthood itself.

He did also provide us with a trophy, and signed players like Ginola and Klinsmann, to be fair.
 
ENIC aren't perfect, Levy has made mistakes. But if you look at the situation this club was in when they took control, and the situation we are in now, and compare that to every other side in England, I struggle to see much to complain about. It is very, very hard to see anyone in England who has done better.

when he was our chairman, we had to pay Amshold for his services.

Klinsman, ill give, aye. although it could be argued that he had to do something, what with the points deduction and FA cup ban we had looming. right place, right time, only 2 million..would have been stupid not to. Ginola., Im convinced the barcodes thought he was a busted flush

Why take a risk when you can either can buy a guaranteed star, or already have one? Everyone bigger than us either was signing Batshuayi, Zlatan or already had their strikers sorted. Or at least, thinks they do. *evil cackle*
