Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

England duty apparently. Maybe Sterling and Stones had a word (i also heard that was when he found out how much Clyne was on).
Its the way clubs avoid tapping up rows. get there players to do the dirty work on international duty

as for Walker, if he doesnt wanna play for us, see ya..I dont want players that dont wanna play for us.
Club is bigger than him, me, levy, Pochettino or any one else.

Was Walker ever part of the 'family' though? It always seemed to be Lamela/Rose, Eriksen/Kane, Alli/Dier, Dembele/Vertonghen etc. - Walker never seems to be hanging around with the other Spurs lads, he just seems to be there.

That's the one thing I worry about though, how a foreign player who speaks Portuguese (Pereira) will come in and be part of the unity we already have.

LUCKILY though, him and Dier were at Sporting Lisbon at the same time and are the EXACT same age so hopefully that helps.

For Poch the person is as important as the player.....if he thinks a player is right, then Im happy enough with it.
I think Walker was part of Spurs no doubt, and it is sad news, I cant pretend.

But I do trust Poch, and if he was happy for Kyle to go, then so be it.

Walker seemed like the glue that got on with everyone tbh. Seemed a really nice guy actually.

I agree, everyone seemed to like him just fine, no attitude issues or anything like that. I find it funny how on the Citeh forums their fans are pleased he's signed but describe him as arrogant. He isn't arrogant at all, just that those fans have seen him get the better of their teams over the last couple seasons so have developed a faulty view of him as a person. They're getting a professional who seems a decent guy, at the end of the day.

We are fighting with the so called big clubs or oil clubs through the very thing you are complaining about. Buy low, sell high.
There's also an £800m stadium being built that will help us compete with them but until construction started you infamously denied it was happening.
We have no right to be anywhere close to where we are performing on almost every financial stat.
Make your mind up.
So you think this transfer is justified ?

Fucking he'll man. When we sold those 4 players people on here tried to justify it by saying we could never expect to keep players of that calibre. And if we sell players, the next level down as you put it, we have to accept that too !!!!!
So what players can we expect to keep long term. It's pathetic.
As for " the fee is nice to look at"
Only on a Spurs forum would we find such garbage

Sorry, just not that bothered with selling Walker for a record fee. He's not central to our success, and Poch seems to agree. This is VERY different than those 4. All 4 wanted out and we didn't want to sell - but all we've heard this summer is that Poch is OK with selling Walker. If you can't see the difference I don't know what to tell you.

Now, have a lay down and relax mate! You seem awfully riled up over other people's opinion. I mean, what the hell am I supposed to say about the fee? Is not my money is it?

It was inevitable I suppose.
My abiding memory of Walker last season was him distant, head down, hands in his pockets, walking alone off the pitch at the Lane Finale.

I think then he was gone. For whatever amount of money, who really cares about that? It's been said several times on here that if Poch wants you out or if you want out, he'll swing the axe no question. I thank Kyle for his service to THFC, but really that's all it is.
I truly can't see him in the PL TOTY next season.

"The Crest on the front of the shirt will always be bigger than any name on the back"
- Graham Roberts.

Kyle Walker - 3424 minutes - 5 assists.
Started: 36 games in all competitions - 15 cleansheets

Kieran Trippier - 836 minutes - 5 assists.
Started: 16 games in all competitions - 9 cleansheets.

We'll survive.

It will be shit seeing Walker in their kit, I agree. I despise seeing our ex players in other team's kits. However it could be worse. I'd hate it more if it were Woolwich, Chelsea, or even Real. And Walker has earned it, he's been with us a long time putting up with some truly shocking managers over the years, I think he's earned the right to leave if he wants to.
Fair play son. I'll be sulking intill we sign someone. I think our first 11 is class but we need more bodies.
