Match The mighty Tottenham Hotspur v. Plastic chavs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Odd to pick on the bench and Sissoko before the likes of Wanyama and Lloris.

Dier should never have gone off, Poch messed up today

Wanyama and Lloris are entitled to off days. Sissoko is woeful and when his likes are on our bench we lack 'impact' players. Just need a couple new additions is all. Agree Dier should have stayed on and Wanyama subbed - maybe Poch was worried about Dier's yellow card...?

The fake drum was simply embarrassing and opens us up to ridicule. Reminded me of the bad days at WHL in the 1990s when everything about us was shit. We didn't need it today too. The atmosphere at the home end was pretty good.
I heard it was a "live" drummer that was mic'd up!!! I guess fingers crossed someone got a message to him because we didn't hear it once (I think) in the 2nd half. But fuck me! Fuck me that was horrendous! Wankers.

If it is a real person then I feel sorry for them. But it was shit. All it did was give the Chavs a good laugh.

just got back and what a kick in the teeth that was. I didn't think there was much wrong with performance today, we are still one of the best teams in England. Reading the last ten pages or so of this thread I think people are being a tad harsh on Wanyama and the full backs. Fact of it is but for a howler from lloris letting a shot that was straight at him go through him we would have got the bare point which was the minimum we deserved.
Not a fan of the "drum" . The equaliser showed what kind of atmosphere can be created and that is the result of event on the field not some drum over the tannoy.

Park Lane / Shelfside song and Levy spending the next 10 years worth of transfer kitty on what sounded like the biggest fucking drum in the world the most memorable parts about today.
Although noticeable the drummer didn't play the "Yids" beat. Which was sort of the point of having the drum anyway.

Kane has to be due a hat-trick next week. Wanyama is hopefully fully fit but just lacking sharpness.

Barely heard The Chavs at all, don't know what you're on about. And EVERY club HAS to have away fans pitchside (Newcastle included, although they claimed they didn't have enough time to arrang it).
Must have been at the other end. Prem rules now state 1 block must be pitch side - not the same thing as whole allocation. Newcastle haven't relocated away fans they have 12months grace on basis on moving from championship to prem... we have moved to entirely new stadium and your telling me couldn't have got a 12 mont. waiver also??

Marked by Luiz who immediately read his intention to pass to Sissoko, easy intercept. I do wonder at times how senior players show their experience, Hugo can observe everyone from his position, but he still picks out a tired and out of sorts Wanyama to throw the ball to.

You make a sound point and it was hugely disappointing.

I just know or feel strongly that a Mourinho team would not have lost that game.

This is one thing, but huge in its importance that differentiates the Portuguese bloke from our man.

Forget whatever style of football is played but ask yourself how Mourinho's teams lose so few games.

It seems like fine margins but it is what we need more than anything.

A draw would have been good today.

A team is at there most vulnerable after they have just scored. Hugo should have held onto the ball, take the sting out of the last chav attack and wait for us to regroup. Wanyama was having a mare, tired and susceptible to another error. At what point did Hugo's experience & observations of Wanyama's mistakes during the match come into play. It didn't. And to cap it all he get's beaten at his near post.

In amateur football you may blame the keeper for that. But Wanyama received the ball with Luiz the closest opponent 5 metres behind him when the ball was received. Wanyama had three players to lay the ball off to, all with acres of space, and we were in position to catch them on the break with them having 6 players on the wrong side of the action. It was a great counter attacking chance, and a great pass by Lloris. It was 100% on Wanyama. Lloris can be said to fuck up when the shot went in, but not for the throw to Wanyama.

Only, ONLY in retrospect, can that be said to be an unfortunate action by Lloris. Had it been amateur football or had we been Sunderland and Wanyama Cattermole, hell, even then it would've been ok.

If Wanyama can't handle balls like that he can not play for Spurs. Simple as.

Now, I am not saying he can't handle balls like that. I am saying he should. You are saying he can't.

No! He does not make a sound point. Wanyama wasn't marked by Luiz. Luiz came storming into the situation, and should've been outplayed for being to hot on the press. If he had been, we'd been in a great position to create a big chance, being 5 v 4 on a break. It was a great throw by Lloris, a terrible mistake by Wanyama who had a fucking mare today.

Newcastle got a 12months waiver

Newcastle got 12months waiver on basis of moving from championship to prem and not enough time as you say.. we've completely moved ground and we couldn't work some sort of waiver??!!!

Not losing would have been a start , so what does Captain Fuckup do , makes sure we lose.

We are sooooo lucky to have him, I wonder why he isn't at a bigger club ?

His many mistakes are covered up on here, big clubs would ask for better..............

Agreed. He's probably a good drummer, it is just putting a microphone to a drum and not letting it happen naturally is a bad idea. It actually made the atmosphere worse after it.

With the exception of Newcastle name a side that doesn't do that? (Just thought of one, Citeh they use all three tiers)

We need attacking options off the bench. After Son, we had nothing left to bring on that could change the game in any way.

Watching Sissoko come on genuinely made my heart sink and I don't think he even touched the ball the whole time he was on. It completely astounds me how Poch, who is near perfect in all other aspects of his management, has this huge blind spot where he keeps letting Sissoko have valuable minutes on the pitch. He is simply nowhere near good enough to be near our squad.

When Lamela is back we'll have 2 adequate attackers on our bench, but really we should have at least 4 players of that calibre we can call upon.
Also getting completely fucked off about how long Lamela is taking to recover from his mystery injury. Most players with cruciate injuries or leg breaks are back sooner. He was my favourite player when he was playing, but if he's going to pansy about and take the piss he can fuck right off. Literally gone into hiding, not even an interview or a tweet about how frustrated he is that he can't play - just disappeared off the face of the earth. Something isn't right.

I don't know how you can play Davies and Trippier and expect to beat a well organised defensive top team. Their inability to break with pace forced our attacking trio to put a shift in our wide when they should have been expecting balls between the lines in the centre. We lost because the 2 players we put in the wingback position in a 3-4-2-1 formation are not suited to it. I like them, don't get me wrong, but we will not challenge for anything with them in the starting 11 in that formation
