Took a look at Transfermarkts list of players who are currently without contracts and could come on a free.

Jesus. Only player I would ever entertain considering to contemplate on that list is the Bayern raised Kirkoff since he did well with Sunderland when under big Sam to then go to shit when Moyes showed up.

Lots of names I have never heard of (with good reason most likely) on that list.
 
I think it will benefit the dressing room dynamic to sell Rose in January and bring in either Tierney or Sessegnon. Tierney would be unavailable for European games but that shouldn’t influence a long term transfer decision.

Yes it’s painfully obviously we lack width and that makes it easy for teams to park the bus as we don’t stretch them wide so they just sit central. We can see it, Poch can see it, Martians can see it but buying a quality winger is hard and requires money. Son is the closest and he is something of a hybrid mercurial type so not quite the same.

It’s frustrating but this issue sits more at Joe Lewis and Levy’s door than Poch’s. If we had Zaha or Hazard Poch would play them no doubt, but we don’t have them. You only have to look at how Sterling and Sane provides devastating witdth for City that opens up bus parking teams to see what it can do.

I wouldn't be surprised if they locked him down. I've been singing his praises on here to much derision, for a while now.

Assuming he is on a long contract, I reckon 15m would prise him away from Parkhead. They'd complain like fuck, and you'd hear bullshit from Rodgers about how he's worth 40m, but money talks. The Premier League should turn his head (if it doesn't then he's a fucken nugget unworthy of our shirt) and Celtic will struggle to resist a firm offer like that.

I'd like Tierney as well if we could get him. He obviously has eyes on him from the prem. But Celtic Dembéle is also being courted for big money so question is if Celtic would be willing to sell both.

He would cost a lot less than we would get for Rose.
Since Rose is 27 and Ben Davies is 24, it is probably time to cash in on Rose anyway and make Ben first choice.

Selling Rose will smash the dressing dynamic to pieces. Selling Walker was bad enough; started murmerings of tension and resentment that Rose became the mouthpiece for with his press interviews. So yeah, lets send a message to the rest of the squad shall we. Step out of line, shout out your frustration, and we'll reward you with your dream move to double your wages.
