Defence is non existent in the air. Defence is non existent foul stop.
Davies is getting pulled about everywhere.

Understandable with a kid at LB who’s a winger, a left back at centre back and another kid alongside him.

Surprised we are not more down really.
Nkoudo hasn’t then presence of any of those kids.
Amos Marsh and Skipp are kind of holding their own, Marsh hasn’t got into the game, yet it’s the flanks where we are most vulnerable and the ball over the top.

It’s good for the kids, but it’s pointless pre season really.
Most clubs are integrating new players and getting first team up to scratch,
We are playing kids who are not going to feature at all really. If one does he’ll be playing with maybe 4 or 5 he hasn’t played with pre season.

Marsh has been non-existent. I imagine this is probably his last game for the first team.
True, and with all the obvious pre-season 30º+ caveats, Skipp and Amos haven't been much better. It's looked like what it is, our kids against their first team.

To give some context, Girona wold be something like Huddersfield (without the history). Well run, likeable team, good manager, buy carefully

Trouble is kids playing one game at this type of level does nothing, they need a run of games to learn and to try things against men

Yes its a meaningless friendly, but so were the US games really (for example, Girona are playing with far more intensity that our 3 opponents there did)

So all 4 games are "meaningless" in the sense you can't draw conclusions from them. Including ones that parachute Skipp and Amos into our first team squad in a week's time

I remember when we had Fryers and Livermore at centre half against Monaco in a pre-season friendly once.

Funnily enough, Kane scored that day.

For anyone watching premier HD...there have actually been subs made at halftime...

To get anything out of this game Llorente should be coming on for N'Koudou with Lucas and Son supporting him, we might get some goals that way. Without Lucas our chances of goals definitely decrease

Definitely a pre-season run around game

its meaningless only about the results, but its about trying to do the right things on the pitch
and our defenders are not doing the right things, mark your man & stay with him
