No one is passing judgement, just saying that if it was them, they would want to go.

At the end of the day, if you dont go and support your team, then you are putting your hatred of the other club, before the love of your own, no matter what the reason behind it.

You only have to look at the reactions on here to see how much this means to the AFC fans... the majority of people confused and saying they should just turn up and support their team shows that unless you go through what they have gone through then you can't understand their thinking and why they refuse to even acknowledge MK exists. Like someone else said imagine Spurs suddenly fucked off to somewhere else in England leaving you with nothing.

I personally will be trying hook and nail to get a ticket in the AFC end for this, the way that cunt Winkleman treated my family was fucking disgusting. My cousin had been at Wimbledon for years since he was about 12 years old, he got offered a professional contract by Paul Ince and when Paul Ince left for Blackburn this is what the prick did to all the young lads who Paul Ince wanted to sign up professionally out of spite.

Not to mention he also did this whilst he was suffering from a terrible knee injury at the time and the healthcare/ physio sessions paid for by the club, were withdraw obviously not being in the capacity to pay for those sessions we had to go to cheaper/free NHS ones who don't get me wrong, did an acceptable job but you cannot compare them to PFA physios. My cousin has never played back at the top level of football again because of it. Not only did Winkleman destroy the lads dreams of playing as a pro, he acted like the top cunt he is and with no humanitarian approach simply told him to look after himself.

My disgust for this man and his "club" knows no bounds.

Ive already said what I would do. I would turn up and support my club.

As for not acknowledging MK exists, like I said earlier, will they ask to have their own points deducted should they beat them in the league some day?

Yeah, though not.
That's fair enough and like another post said, their is no right or wrong in this.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (not sure if on here or from twitter) that they asked if they could not play them but the FA said they'd be banned or something along those lines. If they could get away with not playing them, they would.

Three people think boycotting a game because you dont acknowledge a clubs existence is not putting your hatred of that club before supporting your own team?

:vdvhmm:

Please enlighten me how it isnt.

It's not as simple as 'hating another team' in the way that we hate Woolwich or Chelsea, it's refusing to accept that the team they're playing should even exist.

Essentially it's paying money to a business that stole their club from them and moved it halfway across the country with the intention of making said money. Not to mention causing the collapse of the local team in the area they were moving to as well.

As raised previously, I think that by reforming the club out of their own pockets and guiding them from the ninth tier of English football back to where they are now, the 'Crazy Gang' have done more than enough to prove their worth.

Not wanting to give further money to the business that has already consumed their club and shat it out a hundred miles up the road, whilst still keeping part of their name and badge, says little about them as supporters.

Unfortunately the name of the game is just as much about money as it is this old fashioned sense of 'support'.

The fact that the MK Dons exist shames the FA, those involved in the move and English football as a whole.

Your viewpoint is blinkered and self righteous, seasoned with a distinct whiff of troll.

There isn’t a right and a wrong decision here. Just personal choices for how to deal with this.

A quote from a blog article written by an AFC Wimbledon fan.

And I too think that in this situation I believe I would want to go and show the support for what I built. Of course I am just thinking that that is what I would do theoretically, seeing as luckily I am not in this situation. I am glad that I am not faced with this decision, because it is of course a tough one. I just hope that AFC knock MK out of the cup.

AFC would also get half the gate money. Surely that would help their onward push more if it was half of a bigger pot?

AFC fans may not recognise MK Dons, but the reality is they do exist and not turning up is not going to alter that, no matter how upstanding the cause is.

And my point is that they DO exist. Again, what happens if they meet in the league one day? Ask to forfeit points should they actually beat them? Not play?

Its all very well having an ideal, but AFC dont make the rules. The FA say MK Dons are valid, and AFC have chosen to reform, and are now part of the football league. Which is governed by the FA.

However awful the situation is, MK Dons exist. End of.

Yeah Im a self righteous blinkered troll cos I disagree with you. Get fucked.

I'm certain AFC would rather have 6 points less or one round less of the FA Cup than have to face MK. After all, they took 8 tiers off them so their match is insignificant in comparison.

It's true AFC don't make the rules and therefore have to play them in order to not be banned, but their protests in the past have enabled them to stop MK claiming Wimbledon's trophies and history 4 years after they did.

Perhaps their further protests will see MK no longer feature the Dons name and the history returned to AFC, perhaps not - that doesn't matter. At the end of the day their potential boycott raises the issue again. Any plain acceptance to play the game says that they have forgiven/forgotten it like everyone else.

Fair play to the crazy gang for fucking up the programme a bit. I understand why they want to do it.

You and I are talking about the commitment of the fans in potentially boycotting the match, not the briefly floated idea that the club would forfeit the fixture.

Nice try at making your needlessly obstinate and ill informed argument sound credible though.

There are plenty of AFC fans that want as many to go as possible to show them how many there are and how much they hate MK - its divided the fans a bit. They arent all against it.

I respect your opinion, but simply disagree.

Keep on telling me Im wrong though.....and while you do that, remember whos the one being self righteous
