Course. Posted on here the day after if you want to check back.

All I want is whats best for Spurs...if thats AVB, I'll put my hands up and join the choir....Im still no there yet.

Fair enough. I think you've set some pretty high standards but that's your prerogative I suppose.
I just worry that fans like yourself would cause a massive shit fit if we finished outside the top 4 whereas others would happily give him at least another season to get it right.

Woolwich in crisis / Liverpool shambles / Chelsea on another manager....and they could still go ahead.

Weve had a fairly easy run....if we weren't where we are we would be seriously under-performing.

So what your saying is we beat all these shit teams, but our rivals lost to them. So we don't deserve to be where we are in the league.

You do really lack a basic grasp of football, mathematics and common sense don't you Carlito. Of course Woolwich could rally and have a bumper 2nd half of the season. Chelsea probably will, but are you seriously saying Liverpool were at any point a rival for fourth? You are as deluded as the average bin dipper if you think that.

You say you have supported spurs a while, well you must have been a fucking miserable fucker for the majority of your life if you whine and bitch like a little gooner when we are 3rd in the league.

We have also lost and drew to a fair few shit teams, lets not delude ourselves that we have been bang off form for a large part of this year.

We have also lost to Chelsea, Woolwich and City.

Anyway all the talk of league positions is pointless to the end of the season (RUN IN) and as someone who goes to every game, I haven't been happy with the way we have played this season.

I have watched enough of Spurs over the years to know when somethings not right..and it hasnt been.

I need to see us in a sterner test than the last 4 games to see if something has changed.

If you want to meet at a game and I'll go into more detail for you..but for now...its too late.

This just in, no team has had a good season unless they've gone unbeaten.

:baletroll:

I smell a massive case of confirmation bias. If AVB learned to squat and shit out silver on command, I think Carlito would say "Maybe I was wrong about him, but it's still not gold."

No thanks even if I could come to games, I fear face to face I would be unable to stop myself from vomtining on you due to the absolute stench of bullshit that you must exude.

Out of interest, when have things seemed right for you at Spurs? Last season? The season we qualified for CL? Or before then?

Last season we finished fourth but we were far from excellent in every game. I think it's the nature of football that very few teams are brilliant all or even most of the time. At the end of the day it's about picking up the points often enough and so far we've done that this season, plus there have been a few really good performances recently as well. Let's not forget that we have some of the hardest games out the way as well- we have played United, City, Everton and scum away with the home games still to come.

I really didn't want us to appoint AVB, and was critical of him at the start of the season. However, he seems to have learned from his mistakes of (a) going defensive in the 2nd half when we're winning, and (b) playing 4-5-1 against shit opposition at home. He is a young manager and still learning; I think he has potential to become a great manager. I think our best option is to give him time, if we finish 5th or 6th I will still be behind him...and that's not something I would have said after the draw with Norwich or the 0-1 loss to Wigan...I have seen enough encouraging signs since then though. I also think he seems a decent bloke, I really hope he does go on to be successful at Spurs.

I'm not one of those having a dig btw. You're entitled to your opinion, especially since you have put in the miles following Spurs. I go to every home game and about 10-12 aways each season, you have my respect for going every game.

I really don't believe that whether you go to Tottenham games or not permits you to have more or less an opinion on how we are playing. IF you do attend all Tottenham games then hats off to youas it is a fair effort to attend all games, given prices and time taken to travel the country. The fact that you do all this makes it even more suprising that you're not optimistic and take a 'glass half full' approach to AVB and what he is looking to do with this squad.

I have never been to a Spurs game, however I watch every single game on TV as they are all broadcast in Australia, I love the club, I love the shirt, and I love watching us play our Tottenham brand of football.

In my opinion, AVB has been a breath of fresh air that we definitely needed. It is clear from the interviews of players, staff and AVB himself that he has been able to develop many fantastic relationships within the dressing room and create a team environment. The players are playing for him, and they're proud to be at Tottenham. Better still, players from around the world are seeing us as an alternative to Chelsea, Woolwich, Liverpool etc. This was not something that occured under Redknapp. (As a side-note, I would be interested if someone could find out all players that were bought/sold under Redknapp).

I dont know how old you are Carlo, however I assume that your scepticism and negativity which you label as being a realist is due to being a Tottenham supporter for many many years.

My suggestion would be to take a more positive and optimistic approach to where Tottenham is, and where we are headed, and enjoy rubbing your half-mongrel (as I do) at the transfer prospects that we have on the horizon.

The experience of watching Tottenham may become more enjoyable for you as a result, and if nothing else this forum will not have to deal with you being such a surly, negative cunt.

Saying things like, AVB is shit because we drew to Norwich or lost to Wigan, is sort of forgetting that there are 19 other teams in the premier league. We aren't going to win every game... If we did, we'd win the league by February. If the uniteds and city's are doing that, then we certainly aren't. Other teams are going to pick up points too. And as a top 4 team, the wigans and stokes are going to come to white hart lane with the intention of parking the bus and maybe nicking a goal. Every single one of us lost our shit when we beat united, partly because it had been so long and partly because its a team above us, really, that's not different from Wigan beating us.

The league would be shit if nobody ever beat a team that was above them, That's what la Liga's for.

The fact is, we are 3rd, we're firmly a top 5 club, we haven't dropped down from where we've been the previous 2 seasons and AVB has done it all, despite losing the core of the team and having several new signings, injuries to first Teamers and only being in the job 6 months. Everyone said, "give him 6 months and then judge him"

Well we're 3rd motherfuckers. We used to be mid table, and now we feel hard done by for not getting into the champions league. How the fuck can anyone moan. Wether you go to every game or not, doesn't fucking matter. Lets enjoy the good times...

And as take that once famously said...

Things, can only get better.

Also, Jose mourinho at Chelsea is the only manager that's taken 12 points from 12 over the Christmas period, and we got 10 out of 12. I doesn't matter who it was against, the other teams are trying to pick up points too.

One more thing though, what the fuck is the point of slating AVB ? He IS our manager, surely it's bloody easier to give him a fucking season? If we do better in the second half of this season, than we did last season, doesn't that sort of prove AVB is better than Redknapp? Or do you forget how shit we were earlier this year? Who the fuck else is going to manage us? Ferguson? Mourinho? Pep? What if we're destined to be the next united and this time in 10 years, we do the treble under AVB, how the fuck are we ever really going to win, if we keep changing our manager. We had Redknapp for 4 years, he improved us, now we need someone to take us onto the next level.
