Anyone can look good playing in a 9 man defence, just heading the ball away. Leicester play open football so he might have a problem when they get caught on the break.Did you not watch him at our end of season game against Brighton? Very composed, kept us quiet virtually all game. And he was quality against Woolwich too. But 45 million??! Ridiculous.
Why did Perryman disagree with the above post? I asked a genuine question, I don't know and haven't heard of Dunk.
He's good at what he does. Didn't say he was good technically.Anyone can look good playing in a 9 man defence, just heading the ball away. Leicester play open football so he might have a problem when they get caught on the break.
He’s lasted this long professionally so I’m assuming he’s not too much of a cunt plus he’s a proven winner
He’d get ripped in the prem, just like Lichsteiner, another “he’s won it all!” player did. The prem is a league where athleticism trumps experience.
However superior scouting, development and coaching can go a long way.
If the clause in Toby's contract says that he must have signed a contract with another club no later than 2 weeks before the end of the PL transfer window, then I think the last date is 25 July.
If Toby is on the club tour we leave on about Wednesday and play the 2nd game on July 25 - and clubs generally make players inaccessible to their agents once on tour.
So if Toby goes on tour in about 3 or 4 days time it's even more likely than not that he's staying and probably running down his contrsct. Think everyone will be pleased not to have the distration of Toby's contract and is he staying or going !
Bold move as he's refused several contract offers so remains on about £70k PW versus the £150k he could be on at Spurs so missing out o about £4m each year - so already turned down about £10m and another year of missed opportunity coming up. Think he will find it difficult to be guaranteed to make that up at another club over the 3 or 4 year contract he is likely to get until the end of his top flight playing career.
Looking at their pictures I think I got Duffy and Dunk mixed up.Disagree. Duffy is a typical deep block stopping battleaxe of the Michael Dawson ilk.
Dunk is the more composed, keeps his feet, intercepts and his distribution is alright.
Alves might still be the best RB in the word. Not wanting him is lunacy.
