I’d give the board a minuscule amount of credit for success on the pitch. The least I expect from a board is to provide their manager with the money to buy players, with a stadium of quality to play in, with a quality training ground, all whilst not putting the long term financial health of the club in doubt. I think ENIC have done this and therefore give them the tiny percentage of credit for doing so.A few yeah but that's not really the point.
They are the employers, they take some credit for our progress in the league from when they took over, surely they must take some of the blame for 99% of managers that they employed not winning anything.
If not then they can't take credit for anything that happens on the pitch.
Once they’ve delivered the above, it’s up to the well paid and well travelled scouting team to come up with the right players to add to the squad. It’s up to the manager and coaches to ensure we play form players in the right formation and allow rotation to guard against injuries and lack of form. And it’s up to the players to defend and attack effectively.
Who is due credit for success or derision for failure?
1. Players
2. Manager
3. Coaches
4. Scouts
5. Board
In that order.
