Thank you.. I would be the first to jump on any fan of ours if they behaved in a racist manner but from the off I said I thought this would be a case of misinterpretation of a chant of ours and I still stick to it.

Exactly, plus in the surrounding area of the stadium if the fans there saw or heard anything which at time of posting still no evidence if like everybody that’s posted on this subject feels the same we are not racist and don’t appreciate being labelled so then the allegations by the player if not true should be dealt with severely as would the fan(s) punishment be.

I guess that's the reason why, he is only a 14 year old kid, he's going to have to live with the shame for a long time.

As for the general point, outside football, some stories about racism, some of which include physical attacks don't get attention and some do. The same is true of football, this was a televised, high profile game. So incidents go viral quickly, then some realise they have to comment or get involved because it's good for their profile. Hence Downing St making their own comments.
 
After extensive investigations and countless hours of analysing video evidence with the use of professional lip readers Tottenham Hotspur Football Club can confirm that there was no evidence of racist behaviour by Spurs fans at the recent Chelsea game.

The Football Association have studied the events surrounding the incident and the events leading up to the stoppage and have decided that Rutiger is guilty of misconduct and trying to bring Tottenham Hotspurs and their fans into disrepute. He has been suspended for 3 games and Chelsea warned about the future conduct of their players.

Son has had his red card over turned by the appeals committee who have banned Rutiger a further three games for bringing the game into disrepute by feigning injury.

Come on Santa, you can deliver, it's almost Christmas I don't ask for anything else................

I played a game at the end of last season and one of our lads called a member of the opposition a fat, ugly cunt after he received a blatant elbow to the face at a corner.

The guy was a well known cunt in our league, trying to snap legs every 5 minutes, giving out abuse constantly and he was indeed, fat and ugly. It just so happened that he was black as well.

The referee was standing no more than 5 metres away and clearly heard every single thing that was actually said (it was clear as daylight and very loud). My wife who was standing 40 metres away could hear what he said too. Yet, the twat claimed he was called 'a fucking n*****'. The ref looked around as if to say 'what the fuck am I supposed to do?!', everyone else (including some on the other team) were shouting 'what the fuck are you talking about', 'fucking bollocks' etc... but sure enough, out came the red card. Not only did he get sent off but he was subjected to a police enquiry which went on for absolutely fucking ages. Thankfully nothing came of it, but sure enough, the bloke who made it up is still playing week in, week out. He's still a complete prick but no one says a fucking word to him now. We played them again a couple of weeks ago and a load of the team flat out refused to play on the same pitch as him.

I guess the point I'm making is that the amount of weight a racism accusation carries nowadays is a sign of how seriously we take things. So when you hear stuff by certain people implying that we're all a bunch of racist neanderthal cunts in England, it pisses me right off. It's just a shame that there are some people out there who take advantage of this.

I think it depends what area you are in, who is involved and the people it's reported to.
