In this article is also says...

"Paris Saint-Germain have sought to take advantage and indicated they will meet Spurs' valuation - believed to be around £25m - but Eriksen and his camp do not feel he will get sufficient gametime at the Parc des Princes."

Frustrating we've let it get to this point.

Plus the fact he doesn't want to play in the shite league that is Ligue1

Well your bessie mate Levy obviously thinks otherwise :levylol:

Are we supposed to believe any random tweet now? It's not like I'm defending Levy since I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. And that's the whole thing, we can't really know... meanwhile, we're being inundated with all sorts of shit from the media, shit that might cause some people to have a meltdown or shit that might cause some to get their hopes up for nothing.

I will draw a line after the window closes, not sooner.

You're talking to someone prone to both, mate.... Likes to concoct the occasional thing in his head too.

Possible evidence that disputes that Christian Eriksen's poor form is chiefly due to his desire to leave the club.

"The Denmark international will not discuss a new deal at Spurs, and so all that remains to be organised is whether he remains in North London for the rest of the season, or if any club can tempt Spurs with an offer in January."

"Eriksen has never stated his desire to leave, insisting that he could sign a new contract at Spurs, but admitting that it might be time for a 'new challenge'."

These are two sentences from the same report, linked below. They seem to be somewhat contradictory to one another, but if I read it as I think they intend me to read it, it sounds like Eriksen never wanted out; he felt unwanted by Poch, so decided to keep his options open elsewhere.
This is the point I was trying to make before. I'm of the belief that Poch is a hard-ass when it comes to loyalty, and if you show a weakness there, he has a difficult time forgiving you for that, and your playing time will suffer. Danny Rose, Keiran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies are others that have been in his doghouse before (left out of the squad for weeks at a time when healthy), and all of them have been shadows of the players they once were after they finally made their way back in.

I can see how 250 appearances in just over 5 seasons under Poch has drawn you to that conclusion.

I'm not saying it was always like that under Poch, but I think something happened over the summer. Maybe he would have preferred to make the move to Madrid, but that doesn't mean he didn't want to play for Spurs anymore. Once the window closed, Poch benched him, saying his head wasn't in the right place, and the media was rife with reports that Eriksen didn't want to play for Spurs anymore. But who really knows...maybe Poch was just trying to cover for benching him for what he felt was a betrayal of the club?

Jan bonked his wife. no wonder he wants out

Hopefully played his last game for us.

He didn't seem to give a flying fuck tonight. Shite corners. Wank free kicks. Lost the ball loads.

Hopefully the Inter Milan rumours are true and he fucks off next week.

Served us well for the first half of his Spurs career and I'm sure he'll be remembered by fans. But time for everyone to move on.

He got booed by a lot of people around me when the teams were read out, people are fed up with this whole shitshow. Its been allowed to drag on far too long frankly

Whilst there is no doubt Eriksen is playing to protect himself, no chance of a tackle going in, even at half speed he still puts up better numbers than most players in the EPL ... yesterday

70 passes at 84% with one KP ... not good for him but same game LoCelso 69 at 78% and Lamela 57 at 89% ... so a half speed Eriksen was still probably our most effective midfield player with the ball.

His head is not in the game but no question wherever he goes if he gets his head right he will be fantastic. Form is temporary class is permanent.

and - two corners both cleared the first man - will miracles never cease?

Every Eriksen pass goes sideways or backwards these days, just another post using stats without context.

If you believe Eriksen was more effective than Lamela, Lucas and Lo Celso with the ball then there really is no hope.

In the first half there were periods where the link up play between Gio, Eriksen, Lamela and Lucas was superb. Yes CE’s delivery faltered (again) but he’s still a good footballer and we’ll struggle to replace him longer term.

Me and Mourinho ... but then what does he know.

"He played very well. Played very well, very professional which is what I expect from him. If his decision is to leave I think he has to leave with his head up, if he gives everything which is what he tries to do for the team. Fans, it's always to respect, we have to respect but I think the boy did it for us today"

Where on earth in that quote does he say CE was better than anyone?????
