SC Today:

dragon1: Make that under 10% chance of second signing now , one small striker deal outside chance , the poles gone , miles apart on Jose

I didn't think I could hate these fucking cunts any more than I did, nice to find out it can always go to a new level

Just seen that Palace have agreed £16m fee for Jarrod Bowen too.

Id have loved that signing if we had other priorities sewn up.

If we have come the end of the road on strikers, exactly the signing to make , especially since imo Lamela will be moved on in summer. Meanwhile an extra goalscorer would be welcomed as without a striker we may be light on AM's who score goals

Keane and Gattuso would be doubled over having to chase around a Fernandinho or Kante, that's the difference.

The place where the league lacks quality it once had is in central defense. VVD looks like Beckenbauer out there today, but there used to be 6-7 guys that good.

Again, I’m not so sureThat’s true, I don’t remember thinking back then that the league was awash with World class CB’s.

Since the end of last season we have:

Signed - Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Clarke, Gedson Fernandes, Bergwijn (average age when signing them works out to 20/ 21 years of age)

Sold/ moved out on loan - Trippier, Eriksen, Janssen, Nkoudou, Llorente, Carter-Vickers, Walker-Peters, Rose, Eriksen, Onomah

Apart from us maybe convincing Eriksen & Llorente to stay on for different reasons and getting Wanyama off of our books I think it's been a hugely promising couple of windows to be fair. 6 players at an average age of 20/21 years of age and 10 players sent packing, alll but 2 peripheral figures in the squad I hunk it sets us up very well as we look towards the next generation of Spurs players to see wearing our shirt.

I know football is a game of mixed opinions but I can’t believe I crossed someone who thinks Fernandinho is a better player than Keane... let alone twice the player
Now you've met two. Keane was clogger just like most of the PL back then. And his scrawny 5'10" tough guy act was laughable. Fernandinho is a much better footballer even taking into account the general technical improvement of the PL.

Also pretty funny when there’s only one team today though.....19pts clear, title wrapped up before Christmas.

When did that happen in Keanes day?

But the rest of the league was nowhere near as wealthy, savvy, well coached and stocked with Europe’s decent players as it is now. It’s why so many top teams are struggling for form ManU, Arse, Chelsea, us- you just can’t blast past the fucking fodder anymore, Norwich and turn up and outplay you at home.

Just out of interest in a kind of related transfer way, when we sign someone from abroad when do they move here and where do they stay? Is it a h9tel or does the club have a couple of posh houses for them to stay in? Any ideas?
