Match Tottenham Hotspur v Man City (2/2/2020)(4.30pm)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Play like we did against Liverpool and we could quite easily get something from this game. If however we decide to play like we did against Chelsea, this could get ugly.

Laporte, Stones and Mendy haven't travelled.

I think they'll go with something similar:

Ederson
Walker - Otamendi - Fernandinho - Zinchenko
Rodri
De Bruyne - Silva
Mahrez - Aguero - Jesus
That's a defence that can 100% be got at. Almost a classic Jose game this with us playing counter with Son and Bergwijn on the attack with their pace.

6 behind the ball with 4 going forwards on counter.

Weve got a very good chance of an upset

No sterling?

And if we win, you two will either be nowhere to be seen, or sitting there picking holes in the victory and saying how lucky we was.
I liked Poch and didnt want him gone. But people have to move on now and not take their frustrations of him being sacked on Mourinho. Asking for Big fucking Sam instead of Mourinho is just ridiculous. We are getting more and more solid in defence and the goals we give away are usually as a result of an individual error which depends on players. We have to remember , this is the same team that gave away 7 goals in a game not too long ago. Its not going to be an overnight change.

I wonder if Dele could do a job as a striker. He's got the size and the killer instinct around goal. Can he hold up play and set up Son, Lucas, Bergwijn,

I actually have liked the idea of playing a 4-3-3 and having Dele play as a false 9, sort of similar to what Liverpool do with Firminio. I'd be interested in...

Dele can not do a job as a striker. Jose is playing long balls from the back to the strikers, Dele never jumps to win a header (he watches, waits and thinks lol) while Lucas for his height is good at winning headers, better than Son too.

The teams around us keep leaving the door ajar, at some point we need to take advantage....ok so it’s City, but so what, let’s give the new stadium its first proper big result and kick the fuck on for the rest of the season....

Yes but Lucas never hits a team mate with a pass. With Bergwijn in I hope it's not many games until Lucas is back on the bench.

And also. With Winks, Ndombele and Lo Celso in midfield I think the time for long balls is over.

My point was who is best fit to fill the striker role out of the three of Son, Dele and Lucas.

Lucas stated that Poch played him as a CF, but felt that it was not his position, and that he felt better when Jose moved him to a wider position. I don't know why Lucas seems to have moved back to a central position, when Sonny did a sterling job last season. A no brainer for me.

Fast paced counter attacking, gio and stevie masterclass
Probably wishful thinking...

Attending first game since opening day against villa, as long as we put a shift in I think city are beatable! Their defence is every bit as shit as our own and if Laporte hasn’t travelled we’re in the game. COYS 😀

Yup! Both Ndombele and Locelso are very good at making some really good forward passes and if winks puts in a lot of running around and getting the ball to these two quickly, there would be no need for hoofballs anymore especially as theres no Kane to recieve the hoofs.

Change (no Davies + Steven in).

Without possesion, Lamela/Steve (Ndombee) drop to make a 4 (5).

Vorm, Verts, Foyth, Winks, Sessegnon, Moura, Alli

Ok, so what kind of perverse, immoral or downright disgraceful ritual do I have to indulge in between now and then to ensure 3 points....?

COYS!!! :tobyarm: :tobyarm: :tobyarm: :tobyarm: :tobyarm:
