Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think you’ll find people are gutted he got us the sixth place. Can’t moan about us fucking it up.

Some of our so called fanbase have this romantic view of a brand of football that we haven't played for 50 years now and is outdated by modern standards.
They enjoy being miserable even if we win and jump all over the player and manager the first mistake we make in a game.
We are actually fortunate that we don't have fans in a lot of ways as Mourinho tries to mould this team into his philosophy.

These "fans" cannot be reasoned with (believe me i've known loads and I've tried) and I'm sad saying it but they are a cancer on the buttcrack of our club.

That's what Ndombele and Lo Celso are for. We don't need much from our DM outside of breaking up attacks and being able to receive and pass the ball forward.
We don't know if Ndombele has a future here. Lo Celso is not providing the kind of creativity I expected from him, but that could change.

And Hojbjerg does not like to receive the ball under pressure, and is far more inclined to pass sideways and back.

From 14th to 6th and a cash injection during a pandemic and no crowds leaving a lot of teams bleeding revenue I think deserves a little bit of that though. Fair play Jose, onwards and upwards and congratulations on making something out of nothing when it comes to season 19/20. Something to build on ladies and gents.

This was a cup final, we leapfrogged a team above us to guarantee us European football, I say well done.
3 points off 5th when he arrived, not exactly a miracle worker. The pandemic saved our season as we were beyond terrible before it was suspended.

Champions league was long gone before he even cam in even you can understand that

I cannot agree with that.We were 11 points of cl with 78 points to play for.He even said that when he started. If Corona wash not here I believe that levy would have a decision to make.We had injuries but so did everyone. He could not get us through the injuries just got lucky because we got everyone back.We were still played crap with a full strength squad.I am not looking forward to next season with Jose incharge.I can see it being trophy less and struggling big time in the league

Good football for me is winning football, I'm happy with the job he has done so far the defence is more solid with us being harder to beat.
We will get better and hopefully Mr levy backs him, then we can get to see what he is capable of I'm looking forward to it.

I saw people giving him shit for celebrating the result today. They were making it sound like he was running on the pitch screaming or something.

He was happy the team accomplished a goal, he wasn't going crazy.

People are so silly sometimes.

It's because people don't realise how abject it has been here.

Imagine coming to us in the state we were in, with the squad we've got and the injuries we had and then somehow extracting EL qualification out of the shitshow.

He and his team are more than entitled to a little jig.

Fucking miracle.

That's fair on both points, but I think if those two are next to a DM in a 3, that fits their game better. For Ndombele, its not a question of if he plays well in that formation but if Mourinho will let him. And Lo Celso seems to do much better further back where he can collect the ball and go - that's what he did a lot of before the restart. He really doesn't look great in the 10 role compared to an 8.

Neither are Eriksen types, but both have the skillset to progress the ball and have much better forward passing vision than the rest of our midfield. That and Mourinho DM types are almost always pure destroyers, Hojbjerg theoretically could provide a little more than that.

I'm choosing to be optimistic in that regard even if Hojbjerg isn't my preferred choice for that role. And to me, it's addition by subtraction. Take out Winks-Sissoko as a midfield two and the team will get better by default.

I'm not his biggest fan but he's clearly going to be here next season now, the shortened off season means it's not great time to change managers anyway. We'll still be miles away from the top 2 but Chelsea and United keeping unproven managers opens the door a bit for us to get back in the top 4. But however he does next season, history tells us we should be looking for a new manager for 21/22, one that plays the attacking footballer closer to our traditions.

Merl Merl H4SPURS Disagree that we weren't 3 points off 5th deary, deary me. They disagree that the season's suspension couldn't have come at a better time for us, deary, deary me.
