It puts into context how bad our recruitment and team neglect is, a shocking level of incompetence from the club management

Thing is when you're at that level there's a limit to whom you can attract even if you are splashing out, so you end up overpaying for mediocrity (or worse)...

See Everton....

Even look at City when they first got rich.

Newcastle will face similar.

Smart scouting/incremental growth if is a far more reliable track to climbing the table but it takes patience.

could easily do so with a premium attached e.g. plus 20% of sale price. So if he did go for £15m and we decided he was worth getting back (presumably if Jose was replaced) we pay £18m. Leeds get compensated. We’ve paid £3m for them to develop him - based on the fact that us wanting him back would implied he’s sufficiently developed. Kinda win-win.

So your saying it’s not just about splashing the cash to win titles? I thought this is the only reason Jose has been successful! :mourbringit:
 
Callum Wilson for £10m just sounds too good to be true, and even if it is £10, Levy will try and haggle down to £7m.

If they are at risk of losing Wilson and King, then maybe offering Parrott on loan to sweeten a deal might help?
 
Being linked with David Brooks and Callum Wilson. Both players are worse than what we have here already. We would be just signing players for the sake of making a signing. It's the same as Hojbjerg he offers nothing is just a big bruiser with no class. I would prefer to save all the money and make 1 quality signing. Go for Ndidi but that won't happen I can see Jose being Jose and trying to sign as many as possible. I must admit this season coming I really not looking forward to. We are being linked with very average players who will be played because they are Jose's player's.Also players that are into there 30's which are Jose's type of players but not our type of players. If I see Willian ,Silva and Perisic I will cry
