Is there anything other than a tenuous tabloid story suggesting we are chasing Deeney?
Nope.... From what little I've seen, the story was he was offered to us (and a bunch of other clubs) rather than any semblance of us chasing him.

Take Amos fee off that £16m and its cheap but as you say probably not a Mourinho player. Shame.QPR supposedly want £16m for Eze. Under Poch I’d say it’s a no brainer, but not sure Mourinho will want him. More urgent matters to address.
Hojbjerg is dynamite. He shouts a lot, he waves his arms, he puts pressure on the referee, he was Southampton's captain and he sometimes cries when he is interviewed. What more could you ask for?
KWP may be coming back
- Those Inter lads are allegedly better than what we have....
- People insist that Serge is one of the worst players of all time so Celik should be an improvement, no?
So that's DM, CB & RB.... Aren't they the positions everyone was worried about?
...Then there's back-up striker (whom we don't currently have ergo immediate improvement there)... Linked with Wilson whom 12 months ago many fans said they'd be keen to have as ST2.
Happier?

Going to be plenty of games this season with Europa but i'd imagine we'd have to sell Lamela first.Levy could sign him up as he has potential for a big sell on value, but it’s also whether Eze will play.
Yep, only 8 days gone but 5 weeks until the season starts and 2 of those all the players will be off on international duty. Basically we have 3 weeks if we want to have any hope of integrating them. Will be same old same old.I love the waiting game. let's wait for the scraps
should've identified during corona break and do the buying early. we need to act like a big club and not like watfordYep, only 8 days gone but 5 weeks until the season starts and 2 of those all the players will be off on international duty. Those lads are not better than what we have . They are supposed to be the better players in a lesser team but they do not stand out at all. I am all for a back up striker but not Troy f**king Deeney . So no not happier
Ajer is predominantly a defensive midfielderAjer is no better than Foyth

But we're already buying Hojbjerg for the CDM and we don't need another winger , especially a past his best 31yr old..I swear we've been looking at long term solutions for the past 20 years.
I for one have no objection to some short term thinking.
VDV was one of our most influential signings in recent history
Maybe but we really need a CAM for next season Unless Mourinho moves to 433 and plays Ndombele + Lo Celso like Man City have with D.Silva/De Bruyne (granted neither are as creative as De Bruyne) but 2 players doing the creative role will hopefully stop making us so predictable.QPR supposedly want £16m for Eze. I'd like to see the lad given a chance.
Disgrace how far we’ve sunken while the greedy cunt maggot pays himself highest salary in footballJadon Sancho on the verge of agreeing Manchester United personal terms
Advanced talks between the two clubs over a deal that could reach an eventual £108m are continuing in the hope of an agreement being struck, potentially within the next week.www.google.co.uk
Painful watching our rivals go for quality like Sancho and Werner etc, whilst we are being linked with Troy Deeney on loan. Fucking unbelievable. #levyout #enicout
