But if I remember correctly, the majority of the people calling him a cunt, a shithouse, and a fat snake among other things, were those who steadfastly support ENIC and couldn't stand to see them criticised by one of our players. Giving credence to the arguments I and others were putting forward at the time.

I don't think it was just what Rose said, some of which was bollocks, but the way that he said it. His rant about signing players he doesn't have to google was particularly crass bollocks coming from a player who was signed as teenager, who none of us had heard of when we signed him. Having a dig at his employers who'd just spent a fucking year paying him his £3m+ salary while he sat around doing fuck all, and having a pop at Pochettino, claiming he was already a great player before Poch, was also fucking billy big bollocks nonsense, he was never ever as good as he thought he was, couldn't fucking defend, never did fuck all when attacking and kept giving the ball away in midfield.

I like a bit of honest player insight, this wasn't that, it was a chippy cunt having a fucking tantrum in The Sun for a few thousand quid.

Just watching the Lille/Rennes game. Maouassa (LB I first mentioned last season) still looks interesting to me. Seems pretty good defensively, strong, tenacious, reasonably quick, plays in a back 4 but does get forward - I'd just like to see a bit more of what he does when he gets forward, Rennes are a very conservative side though.

Still think Niang would be a much better back striker than the likes of Wilson. Much stronger hold up play and presence.

How was Celik?

I assume if he was involved today, they have no interest in getting rid?

But as I said those players beat City and Ajax.

Were they shitcunts in Amsterdam?
Those games were incredible to experience but we basically saw a miracle to get through to the final.

I don't entirely disagree in that I think Lucas should have started the final, at the very least because he earned it, but just imagine the shitstorm from benching Kane and still losing.

Let's also not pretend like some 'correct' team selection would have gifted us a win that day. Liverpool deserve credit.

Pffttt.....sturdy-ish but stodgy.

Have to say Maouassa was a bit meh last 30 minutes as well, had a couple of chances to move forward and take the initiative with the ball but looked a bit reluctant and chose to square it instead, he also looks a little on the chunky side, not the smoothest of movers too. Best watched for now me thinks.

Agreed, that's how I remember it.

Then there was the thing that he shouldn't have spoken to The Sun in particular. Never really understood that. Yes it's a nasty shitrag, yes Hillsborough and yes Murdoch, but would it have been any better if he'd spoken to say the Daily Mirror, whose previous owner had stolen hundreds of millions from his own employees? Or the Daily Mail, which supported the Nazis in the 1930s?

Morality-wise, barely a Rizla paper separates any of Her Majesty's Tabloid Press

My objections were/are simple and remain the same.... Don't do 'business' in the papers; period..... Levy, Poch or whoever have an office... You have an agent.... Don't drag the club through the shit in public.... Even if your motive is pure, the low cunts will still manipulate the shit out of your comments for all they're worth.

You risk undermining the club, the manager, your colleagues and the fans.

Same thing soured Defoe for me.... A few games on the bench and it was "maybe I need to think about leaving" in all the red-tops (on more than one occasion).

Cue mortified psuedo-indignation from the predictable few: "How dare you, Airfixx... Defoe is a legend".

The way I saw it at the time, firstly it wouldn't have been 'benching' Kane as such as he was coming back from injury, but more so I thought it would have been better to bring him on for the final 30 mins and extra time if necessary, what he had in the tank (not much in hindsight) might have been more useful against tired defenders. He was never going to be subbed off in the final unless injured as that would have been way more outrageous than not starting him so it left us lumbered for the entire game.

Added to the fact that Lucas simply deserved the start for almost single handedly dragging us there and to me it was a ridiculous decision. Almost like bringing on Eric Dier as the final sub when chasing a goal...

I am sure we are trying to kill Nabil Bentaleb Nabil Bentaleb

He fucking sucks. Terrible player. Imagine Bruno Fernandes but without half of his qualities. A fucking cunt I tell you
