1 match played against league 1 opposition and people saying Gedson has it to play right back. Mourinho's comments that he played 'very, very well' should be taken with a pinch of salt. Maybe they were for Gedson's ears, maybe for his agent. But he didn't give him game time there last season, and doubt he'll see much this.

Fair play to the lad if he's opted for regular football.

This is the area I’d be most concerned about. He would be a good signing and certainly an upgrade on Aurier in the offensive aspects of the “high and wide” way Mourinho wants his right back to play. Doherty is highly protected in Wolves’ system though, he is not a great defender by any stretch, which is a worry seeing as he will most certainly have to do more defending in our system.
He’ll be a solid signing and should be an improvement on Aurier, but he’s played in a back four for Ireland before and looked very average, so it will be interesting to see how he fairs tbh.
I'd like to get as many informations as possible regarding his defensive abilities. As I said before, last season was his worst.

For now, I'd just like to say that the fact he is highly protected in Nuno's system doesn't mean that he is a bad defender. If anything, stats such as interceptions could become better in a different formation/defensive role.

We do know however that Gedson had been training as a RB since before the season ended.

All feels a bit like last season when Poch clearly had plans for Foyth to put a bit of time in as RB (which was foiled by injury soon after opening day).

Well we can debate about whether Mourinho has or hasn't made repeated bad decisions but I am talking about you saying that you back the manager no matter what the decision and to me that seems crazy.

I have never said that a manager should be fired based on one decision I have said I don't blindly support every decision just because a manager makes it. I don't see what's wrong with disagreeing with a managers decision, that (to me) seems like normal behaviour to look at every move and decide for yourself whether it is good or bad on its merits not just giving carte blanche to a manager.

Why do I have to get a coaching badge? Why can't I say I don't agree with that decision?

It is also not being negative for no reason, it is disagreeing with a decision.
No I didn't say that, I said back the manager because why wouldn't I I support Tottenham and want us to do well, I don't blindly support a manager what I do is hope for the best whatever decision he makes weather I agree with him or not that is completely different because that would be the best for the club

I said do something about it that's why I said get coaching badges, in every post back and forth you have insinuated that Mourinho has bad desicions so we shouldn't back him;

- You wanted to know why I back this choice of signing that's because I back the manager that's his decision and I fully back that because being negative does nothing for anyone

- You questioned this with "I just don't get backing a manager who does things that you clearly see as wrong/crazy/dumb" insinuating that you don't agree with me and Mourinho has done things wrong/crazy/dumb whilst manager here

- I replied "Every manager makes decisions that are wrong but that doesn't mean you don't back them"

- You replied with "If I see managers making clear mistakes I don't support those decisions that is crazy. If a manager is repeatedly making bad decisions I don't back them I hope they are fired" hinting again that you are unhappy

You have since posed about how meh the signings/potential signings are, just because you are unhappy doesn't mean the club shouldn't back the manager which you have continued to indirectly say

What signing are you talking about?

This started because you said that its doesn't matter because Mourinho thinks that our CB and LB were good enough.

My issue was I think that just because a manager thinks that is good enough shouldn't change what you think.

You are really trying to make leaps in what I am saying to fit your narrative. My point has always been that I don't understand blindly supporting the manager and not critically assessing what decisions they make.

It isn't about Mourinho, it is about managers in general. And not just you, as I have heard this sentiment from others who say something along the lines of "who cares if it is a bad signing/player the manager wants it so you should like it." To me that is a crazy way to think.

I understand saying "I hope it works out, but still don't like the move" but just supporting a move because the manager wants it or the manager makes it doesn't make sense to me.

Money is tight, there is very little to spend so the likes of Gray is as good as it gets for now. We will have to wait until next summer when we bank 140-180 mill from the sale of Kane before we will be able to sign anyone decent
Won't blame Kane if he leaves next season - player of his quality deserves to retire with major silverware not the Balance Sheet trophy

I didn't say it doesn't matter I said

"I get you but Mourinho is and for me that's what matters"

It doesn't change what I think, what Mourinho wants to do with us they are clearly good enough, why would a person on a forum change my opinion of that? They clearly are

You said it wouldn't make sense to back him as in give him support if he has made multiple mistakes which he hasn't for me, not enough to not back him
